Torture Leaves Ms. Wang Haiqing Partially Paralyzed Below the Waist

Ms. Wang Haiqing has been barbarically tortured in Shandong Women's Prison. She now has symptoms of severe heart disease and malnutrition, and she is partially paralyzed below the waist.

Ms. Wang, who is from Anqiu City, was arrested on May 12th, 2008, and severely tortured by the police. She was so seriously injured that she lost control of her bowels. Despite her condition, she was sentenced to 12 years in prison on October 8th, 2008.

In Shandong Women's Prison, Ms. Wang was not allowed to use hot water to wash or to change her underwear. She was forced to sleep on the floor. She was not given a coat or blanket during the winter and was only allowed to wear a thin shirt. If anyone showed her any sympathy or tried to help her, they were verbally abused.

In 2014, Ms. Wang was assigned to prison district No. 6. Her entire body is covered with scabies and lesions. She now has symptoms of severe heart disease and malnutrition, and her lower limbs are partially paralyzed. Despite everything, she remains determined not to renounce her belief.

Ms. Wang has been repeatedly detained and tortured due to her belief in Falun Gong.
Her health has continued to decline, and she is now in critical condition. The police have ransacked her home many times and extorted at least 35,000 yuan1 in cash from her family.
