United States: Michigan Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day with Friends and Relatives

On May 10, 2003, nearly one hundred Falun Gong practitioners from Michigan and Windsor (just across the Canadian border from Detroit) and their friends and relatives gathered in Bloomfield Library and celebrated May 13 World Falun Dafa Day during the weekend. April 8 of lunar calendar is the birthday of Falun Gong founder Li Hongzhi. Falun Gong practitioners sincerely wish their Teacher a happy birthday and thank him for making Falun Dafa public.

A Falun Gong practitioner shares his cultivation experience	House Representative Aldo Vagnozzi makes a speech

The celebration activities began at 10:00 am. House Representative Aldo Vagnozzi, representing Michigan State Governor Ms. Jennifer Granholm, read a resolution proclaiming May as Falun Dafa Month and May 13 each year as Michigan Falun Dafa Day.

Mr. Vagnozzi said in his speech that he opposes persecution of freedom belief in any form.

Several Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the exercises. Practitioners also took this opportunity to exchange cultivation experiences and express their appreciation to family members and friends for their support.
