Friends of Falun Gong Europe has been established

In view of the severe persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese government since July 1999, we have felt compelled to establish "Friends of Falun Gong Europe" in order to provide more support for the practitioners, to help to increase public
awareness of their plight, and to put pressure on the Chinese authorities to end the persecution.

It is our view that the persecution contravenes every aspect of acceptable human behaviour towards fellow human beings, and we consider it to be a form of state
terrorism which should be condemned and opposed by all fair-minded people. The principles of "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance", the three principles by which all Falun
Gong practitioners lead their lives, can be meaningful to all human beings.

The practitioners are simply exercising their constitutional right to freedom of belief and it is clear from the brutal mental and physical torture of thousands of practitioners that the Jiang Zemin regime is not prepared to relent in its oppressive and severe campaign of persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

We hope that "Friends of Falun Gong Europe" will go a long way towards helping to bring the persecution to an end.
