Following are details of how Dafa practitioner Ms. Deng Shiying's was tortured to death:

When Shiying was imprisoned in Jilin Province Women's Jail, in order to force her to give up practising Falun Gong, the police guards often instigated seven or eight criminals to brutally beat her.

When she was detained in Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp in 2000, she repeatedly suffered from torture for remaining steadfast in Dafa and for refusing to cooperate with the evil. She was savagely force fed in Division No. 6 of Heizuizi Labour Camp, which caused massive haemorrhaging in her stomach. Later, she was transferred to Jilin Province Police Department Hospital to be further tortured. Since then, she frequently vomited, and had difficulty eating.

In order to force her to stop practising Dafa, despite her being very weak and being barely able to eat, the police at Jilin Province Women's Jail not only failed to provide her with any basic living needs, but also accused her of protesting by hunger strike because of her difficulties in eating. They intensified the persecution by force feeding her. As a result, she grew weaker and weaker until finally she was unable to eat at all; she then had to rely on intravenous nourishment to maintain her life.

On June 10, 2003, a division head and a section head from Jilin Province Women's Jail called Shiying's family, telling them they were permitted to go to the jail to visit Shiying. But when her family members arrived, the police went back on their word and refused to let the family members see her. Their reason was that she refused to be brainwashed, and refused to give up practising. Her family members had to return home. On the morning of July 17, 2003, two police officers from Changchun City, where Jilin Province Women's Jail was located, came to Shiying's home in Jilin City. They found her family members and attempted to extort 3,000 Yuan [the average monthly income for an urban worker in China is 500 Yuan] from them in the name of releasing her on bail for medical treatment. Her family only gave them 500 Yuan.

On the morning of July 18, the police officers at the jail called Shiying's family more than a dozen times asking them to come to Changchun City immediately to take her home. They also said that if they arrived late, they would not be able to see her alive. Her family rushed to Changchun City's No. 1 Hospital, only to find that Shiying was already unconscious and close to death. To shirk responsibility, the jail authority sent out several policemen led by Chief Wu and the Politics Section Chief Li, who mixed threats with promises inn order to deceive Shiying's family members. They returned the 500 Yuan that they extorted on July 17 to the family. They also reimbursed the 96 Yuan travel expenses between Jilin and Changchun that the two family members spent coming to take Shiying home, in a hypocritical attempt to prevent exposure that Shiying's suffered from brutal torture.

At 9:30 p.m. on July 18, Shiying was taken back by her family members from Changchun Hospital to Jilin City, and then sent to Jilin Huagong Tiedong No. 2 Hospital for emergency treatment. However, she died at 1:00 p.m. on July 19.
