Practitioners from Germany Overcome Language Barriers in Italy to Tell People the Truth

Friday 28th September 2001

After the main Falun Gong activities in Rome on 25th September, some practitioners from other parts of Europe stayed in Rome for the next day. We decided to hand out leaflets at the famous sight-seeing spots. We walked through the city, passing many tourist spots and handed out leaflets to the people we met.

Most Italian people were happy to accept our leaflets. Some even started to read them straight away. One person was given a leaflet while waiting for the traffic lights to turn green. He then started reading it. He did not move at all until he finished reading the whole leaflet by which time the traffic light had already turned green 3 times! We did not speak Italian and it was difficult to communicate with languages. But we managed to communicate with our hearts. One Italian person tried very hard to speak to us in English, “Zhen Shan Ren” [Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance] is very good!” Many had already heard of Falun Gong and were anxious to read the leaflets we gave out.

We also met quite a few Chinese tourists. One Chinese person accepted the “Journey to return home” with surprise. He said straight away, “Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is good!” It was very touching to all of us. Indeed, the practitioners in mainland China have been validating Falun Dafa and saving people even if they themselves have been in a terrible situation. What the Chinese tourist said positioned his own beautiful future.

Thus we promoted Falun Dafa for the whole day. At lunch break we read Teacher Li’s articles and shared our experiences. In the evening everyone’s feet felt sore and painful, but our rucksacks felt much lighter – we had almost handed out all the literature we had brought with us.
