Four years ago, in order to further suppress Falun Gong, Jiang forced the National People's Congress to make special laws targeting Falun Gong. He attempted to justify his dictatorship and ruthless behaviour and tried to eliminate Falun Gong. However, over the past four years, although Falun Gong has gone through various kinds of tribulations, it has not been eradicated; on the contrary, it became stronger and more mature. In Japan, more and more Falun Gong practitioners are stepping forward to clarify the facts and call for an end to the persecution. On October 26, 2003, we once again gathered outside the Chinese Embassy and urged the Chinese government to stop the persecution of Falun Gong and immediately release Falun Gong practitioners, including Yoko Kaneko from Japan, Lin Hsiao-kai from Taiwan and Charles Li from the United States, all of whom are currently imprisoned in China.
