The Swiss News Agency released news about Falun Gong practitioners’ peaceful appeal on the 15th of March 2004. Here is an extract from their report:

About 500 Falun Gong practitioners held a peaceful appeal on the morning of Monday the 15th of March in Geneva. Before the opening of the Human Rights Commission, Falun Gong practitioners gathered to condemn the persecution taking place in China.

The practitioners, wearing yellow, started from Bastions Park and silently paraded to the United Nations, gathering before the European UN Headquarters. They stood behind large, white banners and denounced the cruel torture happening in China.

According to Falun Gong practitioners, in the past few months they have suffered severe torture and persecution. In only three months, sixty four Falun Gong practitioners have died from brutal torture in prisons, including boiling water being poured on them and serious injury resulting from the use of electric batons on several parts of their bodies.
