In a recent special report on the anniversary of World Anti-Torture Day by the Russian TV Centre, a series of torture pictures and film stills were shown, in which many of the shots showed Falun Gong practitioners that had been tortured. A practitioner was shocked with electric batons and force-fed, finally dying of asphyxiation. Most of the torture victims showed in the pictures were maimed to the point that their appearances were distorted beyond recognition and too horrible to look at. It was certified that these 992 people died for their beliefs; almost every one was tortured and died in dreadful suffering and pain. There were more than a hundred different torture methods and all were very ghoulish.

The report pointed out that although every country has its laws to protect people’s rights to live and live securely, they had not been able to stop the use of torture. Therefore, more effort is needed in the fight against inhuman behaviour.
