In the wake of Falun Gong practitioners in Irkutsk staging a protest to condemn the Jiang group hiring assassins, the local Baikal Lake TV station broadcast the activities in their first bulletin of the evening news and reports. In the TV news report, they showed footage of Falun Gong practitioners raising a banner reading, “Accuse Jiang Zemin of Genocide”, and interviewed a practitioner, Mr. Lee, who talked about his experiences of being abducted three times in China, being force-fed in a labour camp, and the current brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Jiang group.

More and more Russian media reported on the persecution of Falun Gong in China. When we distributed leaflets about the shooting incident in South Africa and lawsuits against Jiang Zemin in many countries, three middle-aged women from the former Soviet Union asked me in Russian, “What is this?" I answered, “This is a peaceful method of cultivation, Falun Dafa, which is being persecuted in China." On hearing this, they said to me that they had seen a report about it on TV.”

Although truth-clarification activities took place downtown we got very good results, but, it was not enough. We then went to the Russian Ministry of the Interior, the Police Department, and the Attorney Prosecuting Body to tell the truth about the shooting incident occurring in South Africa. We will keep meeting with various officials in government departments and tell them the truth by every possible means.
