After filing a lawsuit against Chinese State Councillor Chen Zhili for genocide in a court in Seoul on November 18th, Korean practitioners held a press conference to expose the crimes of Chen Zhili on November 20th. Chen, the former Chinese Minister of Education, was visiting Korea from November 18th to 23rd. To expose Chen's crimes, practitioners read a statement in front of Chinese embassy, Chinese Consulate, the Seoul Train Station and Lotte Hotel respectively.

Press conferences

At around 1pm of November 20th, the practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese embassy. They lined up and displayed banners and photos. Practitioners read a statement aloud while police officers looked on and listened.

After the press conference in front of the Chinese Embassy, practitioners held another one in front of Chinese consulate, which is located in a busy area. A practitioner by chance heard a conversation between police officers who apparently misunderstood Falun Gong. Though the atmosphere was accordingly not so good at the beginning of the press conference, police officers who had learned the truth from the gathering became very friendly afterward. "It is very cold, you have worked very hard!" Practitioners greeted the officers, who then replied, "We welcome peaceful rallies like this." When practitioners distributed fliers to the police officers, they gladly accepted. Some even asked for extra copies and said that they would give them to their colleagues.

Photo display about the persecution Police officers on duty also learned about Falun Gong

Chen was to arrive in Seoul on 11:30 am of November 21st by train. Before her arrival, practitioners in Seoul gathered at the train station and planned to have a press conference when she arrived. Later, practitioners learned that she got off the train one stop before Seoul and went to her hotel by car. Nevertheless, the practitioners held the press conference as scheduled at the crowded Seoul Train Station. Many residents and police officers saw the practitioners' photo display and heard the practitioners' statement, which detailed Chen's role in the ongoing persecution.

After the press conference, the practitioners went to Lotte Hotel, where Chen stayed. After reading a statement in front of the hotel, practitioners then went to the Gyeongbokgung (Palace), where Chen was going to visit. At the Gyeongbokgung, practitioners displayed giant banners that read "Bring Chen Zhili, who Brainwashed Chinese with Anti-Falun Gong Propaganda, to Justice." Practitioners who stayed at the hotel also displayed banners when Chen and other Chinese delegates passed by.
