In January of 2001, in order to intensify the persecution of Falun Gong, the state controlled media propagated falsehood concerning the "Tiananmen Square Self-Immolation" incident. The self-immolation incident was staged by Jiang Zemin and his followers on January 23rd, 2001. His group used the staged incident and the following propaganda wave to incite hatred against Falun Gong and start another round of brutal persecution. In many places in China, persecutors forced many practitioners to attend the brainwashing classes where they illegally detained practitioners and tortured them mentally. The brainwashing sessions use a notorious "textbook" which is filled with words that slander Falun Dafa and instigate hatred towards practitioners. This so called "textbook" also exposes a lot of evidence of the crimes that Jiang and his group have committed. We have compiled this evidence so that the "World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong" and other international organisations which uphold justice can investigate the crimes of the media and the other people involved.
