Practitioners in Yubei District Suffer Inhumane Persecution

In the past two years, under the horrible persecution led by Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan, some lawless officials in Yubei District have been closely following the political directives of Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan regime. As a result, a lot of practitioners have been thrown into prisons and suffered from brutal persecution. Up until now, according to incomplete statistics, in Yubei District alone, practitioners being illegally held for an extended period of time include: Wang Yan (female), Tan Fenghao, Wen Zuming, Li Zhi, Tang Bing, He Xiurong (female), He Youli, Xiao Zeju, Pu Zhangzhi, Deng Jialin, Zhang Hua'an, Bai Shikai, Wang Xiaoxia (female), Peng Xiuling (female), Zheng Xiaoqin (female), Chen Li (female), Du Juan (female), Li Lijun (female) and Tian Qimei (female), etc. They are being illegally detained at Yubei District Detention Centre and Chongqing Forced Labour Camp.
Among them:
1. In January 2001, Wang Yan and Tan Fenghao were taken away when hanging up Dafa banners. They were illegally sentenced to 4 years of forced labour.
2. In September 2000, Li Zhi and Tang Bing were arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. On December 5, 2001, when the Yubei District Court held the so-called "open trial," the police didn't allow the practitioners' family members and other people to attend. They secretly carried out the illegal "trial" behind closed doors.
3. On September 1, 2000, He Xiurong and He Youli were arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. They have been illegally detained for more than one year and their current situations are unknown.
4. Practitioner He Tingxuan is missing after being listed as wanted on the Internet by the Chongqing Police Department. His life-and-death situation is unknown.

After being tortured both mentally and physically by the policemen and instigated drug addicts, practitioners Zheng Yongchen, Huang Enju, Chen Changying, Bai Shuying, Wang Aihua and Tang Li, who all have been illegally held at Chongqing Women's Forced Labour Camp for an extended period of time, are now out of prison. However, they are not really free. They are constantly being monitored and followed by policemen and the wicked persons bought out to do this.
Under the instructions of the local "610 Office," the two brainwashing classes in Yubei District and Chuandong Oil Base forced each and every practitioner to pay 5,000 Yuan. They forced every practitioner to write the so-called "Guarantee Letter" to renounce Falun Dafa; otherwise they would not release them.
