Turkey: Introducing Falun Gong to the People of İzmir

On Aprıl 9th 2006, Turkish Falun Gong practitioners went to İzmir city to introduce Falun Gong to people from a local Culture and Arts association.

Practitioner Ters introduced both the principles and the exercises to the audience. The audience showed their interest by asking questions about dual cultivation of nature and longevity and suggested that a local Falun Gong association be set up. Practitioners were also told by them that they had heard of Falun Gong from practitioners in Ankara.

Practitioner told the audience that they could understand and learn more by reading the books, particularly Zhuan Falun, the main text of Falun Dafa..

The audience photocopied the two books and suggested that a nine day introductory class be held in the city. They also presented flowers to practitioners to show their gratitude.

As the third largest city in Turkey, Izmir is also one of the oldest cities of the Mediterranean world which was conquered by both Alexandra the great and the central Asian conquerer Timur.
