On August 18th, the Malaysia Bar Council held a large-scale signature collection event to protect lawyers' rights in Kuala Lumpur. A total of 3,400 lawyers participated in the event. Falun Gong practitioners distributed truth-clarification materials on-site and the Canadian "Report into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China." Practitioners called on righteous lawyers to assist in the investigation. Several hundreds copies of the materials were distributed in just over an hour.

Practitioners explain the facts to the lawyers Lawyers thank the practitioners for distributing the Canadian "Report into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China"

Practitioners distributed the independent investigation report by former Canadian Member of Parliament David Kilgour and Canadian human rights lawyer, David Matas, outside the conference hall after obtaining permission from the secretary of the Bar Council. Many lawyers said they had heard of Falun Gong when accepting the investigation report. Some talked with practitioners about the lack of human rights for Falun Gong practitioners in China. Some came to ask for a copy of the report after seeing others with it.

"Live organ removal! My God! I really hope I can help you!" a woman lawyer said, appalled.

Some lawyers knew Falun Gong well and supported the practitioners. A staff person distributing information of the Bar Council said of the practitioners approvingly, "They are doing human rights work."

Practitioner Mr. Zhao said, "It is important to have the Malaysia law circle know the facts of Falun Gong. We hope that righteous lawyers in Malaysia will help stop the inhumane persecution of Falun Gong."
