On the 2nd of September 2006, Swiss practitioners held some activities in Biel, a German-French bilingual city in Switzerland to promote Falun Gong and tell the facts of the persecution.

As Biel is in a bi-lingual area with the majority of the population speaking French, it is hard for practitioners from German-speaking areas. Also practitioners did not come to promote Falun Gong in this city that often so most people in this city even did not know what Falun Gong is about.

As practitioners were setting up the stand for posters about the persecution against Falun Gong, some passers-by stopped to read and then more and more people started to read the posters. Many others were attracted by practitioners’ exercise demonstrations. People drinking coffee outside the café shop, passengers on buses and people waiting for buses all watched the demo of the elegant and peaceful exercises attentively. Quite a lot of people came to ask for information about local exercise classes and showed an interest in learning the exercises. One of them was serving in the army and would stay in Biel for only one month. He said he wanted to learn the exercises and would find the class even though he was not familiar with the city yet.

Some people even crossed the street to ask for more information. When they heard about the issue of organ-harvesting on live Falun Gong practitioners in China, many of them asked on their own initiative what they could do to help stop this crime. Many people signed the petition to call for an end to the persecution and to support practitioners under persecution in China.

A lady signed her name on the petition form and said she was so shocked at the news of organ-harvesting; it was hard to believe that this kind of thing is still happening in today’s world and hard to imagine that any human being could do such a cruel thing.
