Two exhibitions, organized by HR in China (a Norwegian NGO), were held at Egertorget Square in Oslo, Norway, in July and August 2006. With an operation table and hospital personnel, the exhibitions re-enacted the practice of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners taking place in China.

Falun Gong practitioners in Norway and HR in China hoped that their reenactment would help Norwegians and tourists become aware of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) large scale practice of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. This is part of the genocide and brutal persecution against Falun Gong that the CCP has carried out over the last seven years. Organ harvesting is a very lucrative business for the Chinese regime.

The Epoch Times broke the news about this subject. Among others, a Chinese woman revealed that her ex-husband, a surgeon, had removed several thousand Falun Gong practitioners' corneas while they were still alive. More witnesses later stepped forward. One former Chinese military doctor disclosed that there are over 36 concentration camps in China which act as organ banks for hospitals all over the country.

These disclosures have further been confirmed in a report by David Kilgour (former member of the Canadian Parliament and Secretary of State for Asia-Pacific) and David Matas (Canadian human rights lawyer), who concluded that this atrocity has actually happened in China and is still going on.

A lady came up to the organizers and said; "I believe what you show. I believe it is true, and what you do is important." She had personally experienced that some Norwegians did not believe the torture the Norwegian prisoners were exposed to in prison at Grini during World War II. She had met many people that were surprised when she told them what her relative had experienced and what she had been told.

Many people, both Norwegians and tourists, signed the petition calling on the Chinese regime to stop this illegal and unethical practice, and requesting the Norwegian government to do what they can to stop this inhuman practice.
