December 10th, 2006, is the day on which the Nobel prizes are awarded annually; it was also International Human Rights Day. Some practitioners from Stockholm as well as other nearby cities came to the Stadshus in the centre of Stockholm to attend the activity, appealing for people’s attention to the persecution against Falun Gong and the CCP's callous disregard of human rights.

The awards ceremony was held in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, as well as the Norwegian capital, Oslo, on December 10th. The awarding of the Peace Prize took place in Oslo. The other five prizes’ awarding ceremonies, Literature, Medical Science, Physics, Chemistry and Economics were all held in the Konserthuset of Stockholm and then they moved to the Stadshus to hold the Nobel dinner.

Practitioners came to the Stadshus at 6pm to unfold three big beautiful wreaths on which were written the three words “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance” in three languages and two big banners reading “Falun Gong” and “Please help to rescue Falun Gong practitioners in China”.

The dim light of candlelight and lotus flowers made the wreaths and banners very beautiful. Passers-by and guests who attended the Nobel dinner all gazed at them. The Swedish King and Queen’s motorcade also passed slowly by the “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance” wreaths and banners as it entered the Stadshus. All kinds of media took photographs. Countless people accepted the leaflets distributed by Falun Gong practitioners.

It was a freezing day, but practitioners all felt very happy after the activity, they ffelt it was a meaningful thing to bring the truth to as many people as possible.
