Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Lu Shunmin from Wanlu Village, Xuchang County, is in his 50's. In the summer of 2002, because he spoke out for justice and explained the facts about Falun Gong to local residents, he was arrested, and his home was searched. When policemen questioned him, they beat him so savagely that he passed out four times. Before his trial, the local authorities were afraid that he would speak out in court. Consequently, under the local officials' instigation, three policemen picked Lu Shunmin up, held him as high as over five feet, then dropped him to the ground. Due to the heavy blow, Lu Shunmin lost consciousness immediately. He was then sentenced to seven years of imprisonment and sent to Xinmi Prison.

Several inmates forced open his mouth and poured faeces and urine into it. They also forced him to kneel, burned his finger and tongue with a cigarette lighter, and forced him to squat for a long period of time. (see earlier report: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2006/7/26/75931.html ). In July 2007, the prison authorities told Lu Shunmin's family members that he was missing from Xinmi Prison. As of today, his whereabouts is unknown.
