Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Two Party Secretaries Die Suddenly after Arresting Practitioners

Niu Yutian, 60, was a former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Secretary in a village in the Baoding District. He often worked with police, reporting the whereabouts of practitioners and illegally arresting practitioners. In 2005, on his way home from visiting someone, he fell down and died. His death was sudden, without warning.

Niu Yutian's successor was 59-year-old Yang Faming. He worked closely with officers from the 610 Office and followed practitioners. After collecting information, he led officers from the 610 Office to arrest practitioners. Yang suddenly died on August 22nd, 2007.

It is a heavenly law that good begets good, and evil meets evil. No matter what bad deeds someone commits, he will receive retribution. The sudden deaths of Niu Yutian, and Yang Faming are two examples.

Party Secretary Receives Karmic Retribution in Yi County, Liaoning Province

Zhao Desheng, in his 50s, was a former Party Secretary in Liulonggou Village of Liulonggou Town in Yi County. When the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, he closely followed the Party to persecute Falun Gong. He made plans to persecute practitioners in his own village and worked with local police to arrest and send them to the brainwashing centers. The village residents disliked him.

When Zhao went to to an older practitioner's home to harass and threaten to arrest the practitioner, the practitioner's family drove him away. Zhao said, "I have some other things to do today. I will come back tomorrow to arrest you." That same day Zhao was knocked down by a tricycle and died instantly.

Zhao's bad deeds also affected his other family members. Soon after Zhao's death, his mother and wife died.

Zhao Degang was Zhao Desheng's younger brother. He was once an accountant in the village. Zhao Degang once reported Dafa practitioners to the police, and he died soon afterwards.

After these deaths, no one in the village persecutes practitioners and many people have learned the truth about Falun Gong.
