Passengers on a Ship Witness the Miracle of Dafa

The day after the Dragon Boat Festival in 2001, a ship carrying over a thousand passengers from Shanghai to Wuhan was in imminent danger of capsizing near the Chizhou area. Many of these passengers still vividly recall the incident. While in the middle of Changjiang River, the ship encountered strong winds and violent waves, causing it to sway back and forth violently until it was in danger of capsizing. A young female practitioner with her six or seven-year-old daughter were on the ship. She pressed her hands together in heshi and loudly asked Teacher Li for help. Soon the strong winds and waves quieted down and the ship became stable again. More than a thousand passengers on board were saved.

I recently met this young female practitioner and she told me the details of the incident.

The practitioner is from Dafasi Town, Wuxue City in Hubei Province. When she was 12 years old, a Buddhist monk saw her and asked to look at her right palm. The monk saw through his third eye that there was a lotus flower in her palm. The monk was surprised and said, "Little sister, I should call you Master. You will achieve Right Fruit, very high Fruit Status in the future. There will be a true divine being coming down to save you." Ten years later, she was introduced to Falun Dafa and became a practitioner.

On the day of the incident, she was reciting the Fa at the fifth class of the cabin's center level. At around 1:00 p.m., after the ship had just passed the Chizhou area, the clear and sunny sky suddenly turned dark, the wind became stronger and rain poured down heavily. The strong winds and big waves caused the ship rock violently back and forth. Then the ship suddenly began to lean to one side. The frightened passengers, their lives in severe danger, began crying and screaming for help.

At this critical moment, the practitioner realized that only Teacher could save everyone on the ship. She pressed her hands together in heshi and loudly cried out, "Master, please save me and all these people on board!" The other passengers watched her and to their amazement, her plea was answered. Less than thirty seconds later, the ship was back to its normal position, the wind and waves subdued, the rain stopped and the sun was shining again. Everything was back to what it was before the storm.

The passengers in the cabin went up to her and asked, "Are you a great Buddha? Why did the ship go back to normal when you do this [heshi], and saved all of us?" With that being said, over a hundred people there were going to knee down and kowtow to her, to express their gratitude for saving them.

She immediately waved her hands and asked the people not to do that. She explained, "Don't thank me. Please thank my Master. I am a Falun Gong practitioner and my Master saves sentient beings. I did heshi to ask him to save us. It is my Master who saved all of us on this ship!" The people were awakened to the truth, that Falun Dafa is indeed a Buddha Fa that offers salvation to sentient beings! People spread the message around and soon all the people on the ship knew that Master Li Hongzhi saved their lives.

Passengers from other levels on the ship and personnel from the ship all came to see and meet the practitioner. The fifth-class cabin where the practitioner was staying was crowded with people, even in the hallway.

The passengers who witnessed what happened all praised Dafa. Many asked the practitioner where she lived because they wanted to kowtow in front of Teacher's portrait in her home to express their gratitude for saving them. Considering the ongoing persecution and other's safety, the practitioner politely declined. However, two young women insisted on visiting her. Later, they traveled from a different province and brought vegetable oil and scented paper as gifts. They sincerely kowtowed in front of Master Li's portrait at the practitioner's home, and thanked Master Li for saving their lives.
