On the morning of May 28th, 2008, Ms. Zhang Fuhua, a retired teacher living in the Oil Extraction Community, Dagang Oil Field, Tianjin City, had her home broken into by seven police officers.

Claiming that someone had reported Ms. Zhang for practising Falun Gong, distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong, officers searched her home and seized all Falun Gong-related books and materials. Before leaving, several police seized her hand and forced her to sign a piece of paper against her will.

Then, in a threatening tone they exclaimed, "Other practitioners were arrested and sentenced. You are lucky. We are allowing you to take care of your husband and daughter at home. But we will restrict your activities and freedom."

Feeling pressured and threatened, Ms. Zhang's husband started scolding and physically abusing his wife. Several days ago, he even struck his daughter in the head, causing her to feel dizzy and nauseous.

Before practising Falun Gong, Ms. Zhang was plagued with a multitude of illnesses, including a severe gastric disorder. After decades of poor health, Ms. Zhang was as thin as a rail. Once, she even came close to dying.

Fortunately, Ms. Zhang and her daughter learned about Falun Gong and soon after, started on the path of cultivation. Since Ms. Zhang's eyesight was quite poor, her daughter would often read Falun Gong-related books and materials to her.

As Ms. Zhang started studying Falun Gong, her health started improving gradually. It wasn't too long before she was able to handle all the household chores herself. In addition, her daughter's body and mind greatly improved, as well.

Both Ms. Zhang and her daughter feel immensely grateful to Falun Gong and hope that others will come to know the facts about Falun Gong and likewise benefit from the practice.
