The Most Important Things in Life

After Master asked us to do the three things (study the Fa [the teachings of Falun Dafa], send forth righteous thoughts and clarify the truth about Falun Dafa and about the persecution to the world's people), I have been clarifying the facts to people using the face-to-face approach. Later, I used the same approach to advise people to perform the "three withdrawals" (withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party, the Communist Youth League, and the Young Pioneers). I view these activities as the most important things in life. I always tell myself that saving sentient beings is the job of a Dafa practitioner. I must do my very best and not be a burden to Master. I understand that this attitude is needed to justify that the fact that I am a Dafa practitioner during the Fa-rectification period.
Clarifying the facts in Beijing for the first time
After reading articles about clarifying the facts in Beijing in "Minghui Weekly", I wanted to distribute the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in Beijing. On March 17, 2006 I brought 30 copies of the Nine Commentaries to a suburban area of Beijing, called Badaling, a small town close to the Great Wall. I bought a ticket to the Great Wall and after walking up a flight of steps I posted, "Falun Dafa is good." After I came back down and was about to leave, it occurred to me that I was supposed to validate the Fa. I should post the same message after every flight of steps all the way to the highest section of the Great Wall. I recalled in Zhuan Falun, "Cultivation is up to you, gong is up to the master. All that you have is that goal, that thought, but it's really the master who takes care of it." I realized that it was my fear of difficulty that caused me to turn back. I bought another ticket and went up the flights of steps again and finished the posting I intended to do. On my return I was not tired at all.
The next day I went to Tienanmen Square and saw a group of people. A middle-aged man was selling communist flags. After explaining to him that selling those flags would bring him bad luck, he stopped. Furthermore, he agreed to do the three withdrawals. More than ten other people followed his lead and quit the CCP and its youth organizations. I tore up the flags and threw them into the trash can. A military police officer saw what I did. He came over and asked me, "What were you doing? What were you telling these people?" I told him nothing. He asked a few others. No one told him anything.
I believe that we only need to have faith in Master and the Fa. Then, no danger will befall on us.
Clarifying the facts and distributing the Nine Commentaries in Beijing as the Olympics approach
In December 2007 I went to Badaling again and took the cable car to the top of the Great Wall. I left copies of the Nine Commentaries in the car and went to post "Falun Dafa is good" on the wall of a tunnel. A worker saw me and told me to stop. Despite my explaining the facts to him he reported me to the police. I was taken to the Yanqing Police Station. I used the opportunity to clarify the facts to them, including the details of the staged self-immolation on Tienanmen Square. They put handcuffed me and put chains on my feet so that I could not stand up. I staged a hunger strike to protest their actions. On the third day, they took me to a hospital. I continued to clarify the facts and refused to cooperate with their plan to force-feed me. Finally, they decided against using injections or force-feeding me. I thought that the battle between good and evil in other dimensions must be fierce.
On the fourth day they took me to the officials from my province who were stationed in Beijing. While waiting for a car to pick me up, I got one young man and a girl to agree to do the three withdrawals. Other officers told me not to clarify the facts to people. Of course I did not listen to them and they took all my money, 800 yuan.
Arriving at a local police station, I continued with my fact-clarification, and two local police officers and their families agreed to quit the CCP. I know that Master wants practitioners to save sentient beings regardless of where they are. As long as we are doing it, Master will send predestined sentient beings to us. The local police station authorities took me over to the county detention centre. Every day I sent forth righteous thoughts and clarified facts to others while using a hunger strike to protest my illegal arrest. After seven days they released me.
For several days I contemplated why I had gotten arrested on my trip to Beijing. In 2002 Master said in the lecture in Boston, "The old forces don't dare to oppose our clarifying the truth or saving sentient beings. What's key is to not let them take advantage of the gaps in your state of mind when you do things." My motive was correct and what I did in Beijing was right. Finally it dawned on me that, in order to keep my family members from worrying about me, I lied to them about where I was going and what I intended to do. I did not realize that lying was not in line with the Fa.
In studying the Fa, I came across the article, "Further Understanding" in Essentials for Further Advancement. Teacher told us,
"As long as you're a cultivator, in any environment or under any circumstances, I will use any troubles or unpleasant things you come across--even if they involve work for Dafa, or no matter how good or sacred you think they are--to eliminate your attachments and expose your demon-nature so that it can be eliminated, for your improvement is what's most important."
Also, Master said in "Solid Cultivation" in Hong Yin: "Study Fa, obtain Fa,
 Compare in studying, Compare in cultivating,
 Examine each and every deed, 
Accomplishing is cultivating." I felt that Master was talking to me. Although I was doing the right thing, my mind was not pure. Hence, it was an ordinary person doing the work of Dafa, which is very dangerous. As a practitioner, I needed a lesson to wake me up and fortunately I did. From that moment onward I have not told a lie.
When the Olympic Torch arrived in my city, government officials went to my husband's office and told him to watch me and keep me at home. My husband told me about their demand. I did not say anything, but I thought this was a good opportunity to clarify the facts to people.
The next day I rode my bicycle to the city center and got more than ten people to do the three withdrawals, and then I did my regular shopping. Every day I continue to do the "three things" without interruption. Master and fellow practitioners do not have to worry about my activities.
Finally, I would like to tell my fellow practitioners to spend more time studying the Fa, doing the exercises every day, and sending forth righteous thoughts. With Master looking after us, the old forces cannot do anything.
