On November 21, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners gathered in downtown Liverpool, a large port city in England. They introduced Falun Gong to the passers-by and exposed the inhuman persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They also helped Chinese people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organisations.

On a busy street in downtown Liverpool, next to a big Christmas tree, the practitioners set up an information desk. As soon as they displayed the posters and prepared the petition book on the desk, several people came over to sign their names to support the practitioners' effort to end the persecution in China. During the event, several practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, while others talked about the practice and the persecution to passers-by.

A couple with a young girl in a wheelchair came over to the practitioners' display. After a brief talk with a Falun Gong practitioner, the father said, "I know that the communist party has done a lot of bad things. I would like to sign to support you." His wife read the informational leaflet and then signed her name next to her husband's. The father asked his daughter in the wheelchair, "Do you want to sign?" The girl nodded. Then, the father helped the daughter to sign her name. Before leaving, they wished the practitioners good luck.

There were also many students shopping together. They were attracted by the Falun Gong exercise demonstration. When they learned that over 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners have died in persecution in China and that the CCP conducts organ harvesting from living practitioners, these students came to the desk and signed their names to condemn the persecution. Several people were interested in learning Falun Gong.

At the end of the event, a practitioner noted that 65 Chinese people had announced their withdrawal from the CCP and its affiliated organisations.
