Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium--Former ballerina Monique Deval was moved to tears after watching the Shen Yun Performing Arts show at the Aula Magna on Saturday May 8, 2010

"It is absolutely fabulous! Fabulous! Moving! It is extraordinary, they are all so full of beauty and lightness--I had tears in my eyes," she said.

"It was all so extraordinary, this show."

Ms. Deval started dancing at an early age. Commenting on classical Chinese dance presented by Shen Yun, she said it was skilful and at the same time very graceful. She noted that classical Chinese dance also features very challenging jumping and tumbling techniques.

"They have the air of gliding, of flying--it is really moving ... they have an air of extraordinary grace," she said about the dancers.

She was also amazed by the combination of colours and the use of digital backdrops.

"Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful--and all this setting of the scene, these colours, it is extraordinary."

She said she will call her relatives and make sure they attend the last show on Tuesday.

"I believe that I will send many people [to the show] ... it is really extraordinary."

Singer: Magnificent!

Singer Salvator Gallot knew nothing about China's fantastic history and expressive dance. He was astounded by the richness of culture, beauty and grace depicted before his eyes

"I think it is very magnificent. A very, very beautiful show ... I was told it was beautiful, but I did not think it would be that spectacular. In fact, everything is wonderful, the settings, the dancers, the orchestra ... I think all of this is splendid, everything was perfect," he said.

He was touched by the depiction of a dance highlighting the current oppression of Falun Gong in China, "Nothing Can Block the Divine Path," in which a mother and daughter were torn apart after the mother was arrested for practising the ancient meditation system.

"[The] story moved me, the one with the little girl. There are messages of hope. It is very good to bring this everywhere in the world, to export it. I think it was splendid, truly good."

He said he had no idea of China's history.

"I did not think history was as such. I have discovered the culture. I did not know it this way, in this style. I knew about the gastronomy because I like to eat Chinese food. That is how I knew China. That was it."

After seeing Shen Yun perform, he holds a different view. "If you ask me, I advise everyone to come and see because it is truly a magnificent show. When one tells it ... in fact I have a friend, a very close friend, who told me about it. I did not know much about it. I said, "A Chinese show?" And I came to see and frankly, I do not regret it. I think it was wonderful. I am really happy that I came. Thank you."
