Oppression by Li Gongming and Guards at Shandong Province Second Forced Labour Camp

From February 23rd to March 3rd, 2010, political instructor Li Gongming of the seventh team at the Shandong Provincial 2nd Forced Labour Camp demanded that practitioner Mr. Wang Yuping renounce Falun Gong. He handcuffed Mr. Wang for nine consecutive days from 7 a.m. until midnight. In addition, Mr. Wang was handcuffed to the bed at night, and forbidden to go to the toilet.

At around 11 a.m. on February 28th, guard Zhang Ruimin began using brainwashing tactics on Mr. Wang Shiyou; he forced him to watch slanderous TV programmes. Mr. Wang refused to watch, so Zhang dragged him out of the cell by his ear, punched him in the chin and chest, shocked him, beat his face, kicked his legs and continued to kick him after he fell to the ground.

On March 1st, practitioner Mr. Yu Jianhua refused to write a monthly report and guard Li Gongming kept him in handcuffs for an entire night.

On March 2nd, guard Shen Xijun summoned practitioner Mr. Gong Yuping to the office and slapped him for sitting in the workshop with his legs crossed, claiming he was doing the Falun Gong meditation exercises.

From March 9th to 11th, guards instigated inmates Yao Bing from Zibo City, Li Xuewei from Weifang City, Liu Fengjun from Zouping City, and Lu Changming from Laixi City to try to force practitioner Niu Jinye to renounce Falun Gong through sleep deprivation around the clock for three days.

On March 18th, practitioner Mr. Lu Hongyue refused to respond to the roster call and went on a hunger strike to protest the detention and persecution. Guard Li Gongming called him to his office and beat him. Some time later, he, along with captain Luo Guangrong, Shen Xijun and Wang Xinjiang punched Mr. Lu, beat him with a stick, slapped his face with the soles of their shoes, stepped on his hands, and slammed his head into the ground. Mr. Lu Hongyue was bleeding, his face was swollen and his thighs and chest were severely bruised. Afterwards, he was hung up by his handcuffs for two days and nights.

On March 18th, guard Zhang Ruimin summoned practitioner Mr. Liu Hailong to the office and demanded that he say "I report." When Mr. Liu refused, Zhang Ruimin beat him brutally.

On March 19th, practitioner Mr. Huang Futang was arrested and beaten by policemen Du Gang and Zhang Yong from the Zibo City National Security Team. Mr. Huang's shoulders and legs were injured. Therefore, he could not perform hard labour after being transferred to the labour camp. As a result, guard Song Nan didn't allow him to eat two meals.
