On October 2, 2010, a Falun Gong Information Day was held in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. Many people came to learn about Falun Gong and the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution by reading flyers and viewing poster boards for the first time. They heard about the CCP's atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners as well.

Some people expressed their interest in learning the five sets of exercises and asked about local practice sites. "What? Free teaching?" asked a 73-year-old gentleman. He said he had travelled around the world but never came across any free teaching practices.

The practitioner told him, "Falun Gong is a practice of the Buddha school rooted in Chinese traditional culture. There are five sets of exercises and the principles Truth-Compassion-Forbearance guide the practice. Free teaching is out of principle of teaching people to be good while not seeking reward. Anyone can learn the practice at practice sites freely. Falun Gong practitioners do not accept donations either. All the Falun Gong books can be downloaded free from the Internet."

People also learned that outside of China, Falun Gong is practised freely around the world. But in China, many practitioners are imprisoned or even tortured for their belief. After learning this, many kind-hearted people signed a petition calling for an end to the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and the CCP's atrocities of live organ harvesting.
