Around 4 p.m. on March 28th, 2012, the local 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) of Jintang County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province collaborated with Xinhuaxilu Police Station, Qingyang District, Chengdu City; seven or eight police tricked Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Fu Liqiong and took her to Xinjin Brainwashing Centre, Chengdu City. Currently Ms. Fu's family cannot reach her or see her.

Ms. Fu is 43 years old and worked at the Design Department of Sichuan Province Boiler Factory in Jintang County. In 1996, Ms. Fu saw the changes in her husband, Zhang Cheng, after he practised Falun Gong. Thus she also began practising and soon experienced positive changes as well.

The couple tried to follow the requirements of Falun Gong and be good people both at work and at home. They worked on the most complicated and troublesome jobs at work, which was designing the boiler's tubes. Most other workers there would refuse to work on it. The couple were often praised by the management and their co-workers. At home they also had a great relationship with their neighbours.

In 1999, the Chinese Communist regime began persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. The people at the company's security department often harassed the couple and monitored their activities, trying to force them to renounce their belief. In November 1999, they went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution and left their child with their parents. They were brought back by the Jintang County Police and the company's security department, and were taken to Jintang Detention Centre. After that, they were detained multiple times for total of about five or six months. When they returned home they were always under the security department's monitoring.

In November 2000, people from the security department broke into their home to arrest Ms. Fu. Ms. Fu jumped from the third floor to get away and her spine fractured. She had faith that Falun Gong would protect her and her situation quickly improved. Even the doctors were shocked at how quickly everything healed. But in the beginning of 2011, after she just regained her health, the police arrested her and took her to the detention center. She was later transferred to Nanmusi Forced Labour Camp in Zizhong, Sichuan Province, where she was brutally tortured.

In the forced labour camp, Ms. Fu was frequently tied up, forced to drink concentrated salt water, brutally beaten, and humiliated. Because she persisted in practising the Falun Gong exercises, she was brutally beaten many times by many police and prisoners. She was often injured all over her body and her internal organs were also damaged, which left her in pain for several months.

She had also been put in small cells where she was not allowed to wash herself, sleep, or use the restroom. Many times she ended up having to relieve herself in her trousers. The labour camp police pried her mouth open to force in concentrated salt water. They also pulled her trousers off and used them to clean the floor.

Once, in order to force Ms. Fu to give up her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, police officer Zhang Xiaofang ordered several criminals to lift Ms. Fu's legs into the full lotus position, tie her hands behind her back, and then tie her legs and hands with 2cm-thick rope. Ms. Fu was left in the toilet for several days while the criminal prisoners watched outside to prevent anyone from coming close. Ms. Fu was in so much pain that she passed out. They then finally untied the rope, but still disallowed anyone to come to see her. Her arms and legs were covered with large blisters. When her brother came to visit her, he was wondering why she was wearing clothes that covered her entire body including her fingers in such hot weather, so he lifted the sleeves and he saw blisters everywhere. He cried and questioned the police. The police just claimed they didn't know and quickly brought her back in and would not let her family visit her again. This is just the tip of the iceberg. There are perhaps many more tortures that have happened secretly.

During this time, Ms. Fu's husband Mr. Zhang Cheng was arrested and taken to Xinhua Forced Labour Camp. After the couple returned home in 2004, they were repeatedly pressured by their superiors at work to write statements promising to give up their belief. They ended up leaving the company and going to Chengdu to make a living. They worked very hard and opened a small business, but just when the business was getting better, Ms. Fu was arrested again.
