On January 13, 2002, German Falun Gong practitioners' 3-day appeal and candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Consulate in Berlin has entered the 2nd day. Falun Gong practitioners from Berlin and surrounding cities participated in this global appeal activity. The activity exposed that Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners has been escalating recently and appealed for an immediate end of the brutal killing of Falun Gong practitioners. At the same time, the activity also supported Falun Gong practitioners in the US, who have filed a lawsuit against Jiang and the "610 Office" with the charge of genocide at the District Court of Illinois.

Radio Free Asia, New Tang Dynasty TV Station and the Epoch Times came to conduct interviews. One of the coordinators Ms. Zheng said during an interview, "Last April when Jiang visited Germany, a German human rights organisation on behalf of 'people suffering persecution' filed a lawsuit against Jiang with the charge of 'anti-humanity.' The charge was not put on record, as Jiang was a guest and enjoyed head of state immunity. However, if Jiang visits Germany for personal reasons in future, he will immediately meet with the charges of 'Anti-humanity' and 'Genocide' filed by Falun Gong practitioners and human rights organisations, and the court will summon him.

On June 26, 2002, the German Parliament unanimously passed the 'German International Criminal Code.' It was especially created for the crimes of 'Genocide,' 'Anti-humanity' and war crimes. According to this code, if any individual, including a head of state, commits crimes defined in this code, German courts will be able to charge him." Ms. Zheng also said, "Since July 1999 Jiang regime has waged and orchestrated a systematic brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners to eliminate Falun Gong. It satisfies Item No. 1, 2 and 3 of Article One in 'Genocide' and Item No. 1, No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 of Article One in 'Anti-humanity' in the 'German International Criminal Code.' According to the criminal code, Jiang would serve a life imprisonment."
