"Can you support our efforts to rescue these two students by writing to the Chinese Embassy in Ireland and urging them to release them, and also urging the Irish Embassy in China to let authorities there know the Irish people want them released?..With the support of the Irish government these two young students can be back in Ireland very soon."

"This sham show of justice offers the world an opportunity to see that China has neither law nor legal system to represent justice, and also that Chinese lawyers have neither law nor opportunity to represent the rights of their clients...The problem is that if Charles Li proves himself innocent, will the Chinese government free him?"

The reason given was that NTD TV is a non-profit organization. A spokeswoman said, "This reason cannot be accepted, as AP and VOA are also non-profit organizations. Both of them have obtained permission. Based on our investigation, some UN officials disclosed that the Chinese Government had exerted pressure and is not happy with the New Tang Dynasty TV's reports on Falun Gong."

On February 27, Falun Gong representatives and Member of Parliament, Mr. Rob Anders, jointly held a press conference on the Hill, expressing serious concern and disappointment over the twisted outcome of last week's Canada-China bilateral human rights dialogue. China's Religious Delegation abused the venue and intentionally spread hatred and further harmed Falun Gong; which is an internationally established spiritual practise.

Ms. Lin Wenrong, who is studying in Düsseldorf, Germany, went back to her hometown of Wuhan to visit her family and relatives before the Chinese Spring Festival. She was arrested because she is a Falun Gong practitioner and has been imprisoned in China since then.

Ms. Lin Wenrong returned to Wuhan from Germany on January 17 2003, to celebrate Spring Festival with her family. A few days later, she was arrested when she went to Tiananmen Square alone. She was then sent to a labour camp where Falun Gong practitioners are persecuted and brainwashed.

'Our information source reported that an internal document circulating in the Committee of Politics and Legislature of Wuhan City and the Chinese Public Security Bureau stated, “everyone in Wuhan City who has practised Falun Gong should be registered and asked to write a “Statement of Repentance”.” Those who do not deliver the statement will be sent to a brainwashing unit for forced reform.'

Many Falun Dafa practitioners from Taiwan went to Hong Kong several days ago...customs officers used violence, even forcefully bundling some practitioners up in anti-riot blankets, and carrying them onto aircraft bound for Taiwan.

In their efforts to destroy Falun Gong's reputation overseas, Jiang's regime often uses strategic propaganda to defame Falun Gong. At the same time, it uses trade benefits to try to spread its despotic power in various countries overseas...it is not difficult to see that the Jiang regime's brutal suppression of Falun Gong has not only violated the constitution of its own country, but it also violates the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (which China has signed), as well as the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

An online petition for the release of UK practitioners' family and friends persecuted in China has been created. The three victims include the sister of a UK practitioner, Ms. Zhu Baolian who was jailed for 4 years in Bejing simply for handing out leaflets which explained the truth about Falun Gong, and Zhu Yongjie, the fiancee of another practitioner, who was arrested in November 2002.

"Everyone knows that Falun Gong’s appeals are peaceful. As a result, these events particularly deserve our consideration. The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners illustrates that the Chinese government is attempting to impose its will on other countries. From this we can see that the Chinese leaders have no respect for the basic human rights of freedom of expression and belief."

Lin Wenrong now lives in Germany. On 17 January 2003, she went to Wuhan to visit her family. She had originally arranged to come back to Germany in February, but she has not yet returned. According to inside information, Lin Wenrong has been detained and jailed by local police. Her place of detention is still unknown.

'The "long arm" of Beijing prevented Australian Falun Gong practitioners from joining last year's Chinese New Year Festival in the southern city of Melbourne, lawyers for the spiritual movement said Tuesday.'

Jiang's Regime is now creating propaganda accusing the rest of the world of "driving out practitioners" and in Australia even arresting them. These lies have been created to try and deceive practitioners in labour camps. The actual truth is that Falun Gong is welcomed in other countries with Falun Gong receiving much support and praise including the founder, Li Hongzhi, being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize 4 times.

The Embassy wanted to make use of the lion dance celebrations to hold an exhibition denigrating Falun Gong and put the blame on the overseas Chinese who took part in the event. By doing so, the Embassy could escape punishment for their actions and also attempt to create conflicts between Falun Gong practitioners and overseas Chinese people.

"Given the evidence we have presented to you, we believe that Wei Xiong is a prisoner of conscience who was arrested only [because she is a Falun Gong practitioner], and as it appears, has not received a fair trail. We are concerned for her well-being, and are afraid that she is subjected to severe torture that might claim her life."

"Hard working","Soft Spoken","Compassionate" and "Sincere" Charles Li was illegally seized in Guangzhou Airport upon arriving in China for a visit. A friend of his who was truly moved by Charles words and actions asks government officials "Please do everything in your power to immediately rescue Charles and bring him home to safety in the United States."

Nancy Chen and Charles Li are citizens of Australia and America respectively. Both were recently unjustly arrested in China by the Jiang regime because they are practitioners of Falun Gong. However, they have been treated entirely differently by the Chinese authorities. This article explains the reasons behind these enormous differences and uncovers an unsettling and devious arrangement.

Former senior engineer from China's Aeronautics Ministry, Ms. Yang Yueli, mother of Toronto resident, Mr. Yang Zhendong, had been imprisoned in a Beijing Forced Labour Camp because of her practise of Falun Gong. On February 6, 2003, she was released four months ahead of her term.

A man in his 70's was shamelessly sentenced to seven years in prison, only because he unfurled a banner that reads "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance". We are shocked at this complete disregard for justice, and we also see that the Jiang regime in China is perpetrating illegal persecution against overseas Falun Gong practitioners through Chinese consulates.

During the many peaceful appeal activities over the past three years, the Chinese Embassy has often used various means to attempt to interfere with our press conferences, such as using loudspeakers to blast so-called "songs of revolution". Now, the embassy staff seem to be resorting to more underhanded methods against practitioners.

On average, there were 4 policemen for each practitioner. The practitioners reported that during the forceful arrest, they felt nausea, dizziness and shortness of breath. Nine practitioners, including one Swiss, were denied medical treatment afterwards. During the event, most of the practitioners were still sitting in a meditation position, with both legs folded on top of one another.

Because of Miss Liang's detention, her mother became very distressed and ill. She was taken to a hospital in March 2000. In May her illness became critical. Miss Liang's sister wrote to the Chinese authority asking them to release her sister so that she could see her mother in the UK but did not receive a reply. Their mother died on 7 June 2000.

While in detention in Qianmen station, Mr. Trought met three international journalists whom the police had also detained. Mr. Trought commented that “The journalists were there to have their footage inspected by police to ensure no details of the appeal, or the treatment of western Falun Gong practitioner during their arrests was documented.”

The police tried to intimidate Mr. O’Connor by shouting at him in Chinese and English. They also attempted to take a photograph of him after an officer kneed him in the stomach and twisted his finger’s away from in front of his face.

Since initiating his persecution in July 1999, Jiang has extended it to western democratic countries. The following article covers 3 cases where relatives of Falun Gong practitioners have been detained in labour camps for their peacefully held beliefs.

The success of the campaign was widespread; on December 19, 2002, Heidenheim Weekly, a weekly journal which is sent to every house in the area, reported on the postcard campaign. The report also contained photos of the front and back of the postcard, which allowed readers to cut them out and send them to the German Prime Minister.

Mrs. Zimmermann at the Embassy informed Mr. Ulrich that he could not enter Hong Kong and asked if he was a practitioner of Falun Gong...After 3 hours, he was escorted by five armed police officer and five other police officers to the next flight and expelled from Hong Kong.

After going through over eight months of mental and physical torture Ma Guilin became terminally ill and was sent to hospital. Her Daughter from Australia requested a visa from the chinese consulate to go see her, but due to the fact that she was a Falun Gong practitioner her visa was delayed until her mother was dead.

This is the story of a Chinese couple who were denied a passport for their new daughter. The Embassy staff refused to give this baby girl her basic human rights to a nationality because her parents practise Falun Gong. However, after their actions were exposed on a Falun Gong website, the Chinese authorities were frightened that the world could see their irrational and wicked actions and they quickly awarded the girl a passport.

During November 2001, 36 western Falun Gong practitioners travelled to Beijing to appeal to the Chinese government to end the persecution of Falun Gong. They also wanted to appeal to the Chinese people for justice. They were arrested, beaten and detained.

We call for action from governmental organisations, media, human rights organisations and all good people to help safeguard the universal principles of “truthfulness, compassion and forbearance” and to help bring an end to this unprecedented disaster...Most importantly, we call for the release of all Falun Gong practitioners who are illegally detained.

'We call upon the Hong Kong people and the international community to speak out, and we urge the Hong Kong and the Mainland authorities to withdraw the proposal and allow freedom, peace, and prosperity to reign in this beautiful international city.'

The following text is from a petition calling for the urgent rescue of a Falun Dafa practitioner who is currently being persecuted in China. Her fiance is a PhD student at UMIST in Manchester, England.

“It became quickly apparent to me that the Chinese Secret Service blacklist was behind all this. How else could it be that of the eight people in the car with me, only three were singled out, those names on the blacklist, known to the Chinese Secret Service from our visit to China.”

From December 6 to 8, Israeli and German practitioners protested the Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong for 58 straight hours outside of the Chinese Embassy and called for the release of practitioner Xiong Wei.

He was again arrested in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province when he clarified the truth to people there. He was sent to a labour camp in Zhengzhou, where his is still detained.

This short video provides details about many aspects of the persecution of Falun Gong outside of China, with special emphasis upon the way in which the Jiang regime created and disseminated a blacklist of practitioners to foreign governments in an attempt to tarnish their reputations and restrict their freedom to travel.

In September 2001, as Chicago Falun Gong practitioners were conducting a peaceful appeal, they were assaulted and one practitioner was violently beaten. The Chinese criminal threatened the practitioner, "If you report this, I will kill you."

Police broke into their hotel room, searched them and their personal belongings and then arrested the couple without a warrant...police kicked Ms. Mo and her husband's legs and also hit her husband's head. No food was given to them from 11am to 11pm.

"I am disturbed however, upon learning that the unprovoked beating of Chicagoan Bill Lin Fang and the terrorising of practitioners of the Falun Gong spiritual movement have been treated as mere misdemeanours and not as genuine hate crimes."

Mr. Xu was expelled from Zhongshan University. He was later arrested and sentenced to 18-months in Tuanhe labour camp...his passport has since expired, leaving him with no way to obtain a visa and rejoin his wife in the Netherlands. His wife, Ms. Deng Qing commented; “The last time I saw him was two years ago, I don’t know when I will be able to have a reunion with him”.

The International Association for Human Rights (IGFM) appealed on Monday to Mr. Joschka Fischer, Germany’s Foreign Minister. He will meet Thursday in Berlin with his Chinese counterpart, Tang Jiaxuan, to intervene for the release of former Berlin student Xiong Wei. “We want to know that Xiong Wei is safe and beseech you to assertively bring about her release,”

They started to pull Rosemary out of the room after she sat on the bed saying that she was not going anywhere as she had done nothing wrong. Two policemen dragged her out of the room and pushed her down the stairs of the hostel...At the police minivan Earl and Robert were roughly pushed into the bus Rosemary was dragged into the van by her hair.

On the 9 July 2001, a group of police officers burst into Liu Shan’s dormitory and kidnapped him without explanation. Since this time, his whereabouts are unknown and knowledge about his wellbeing is also unknown.

After contacting its Embassy, the Consulate said that Mr. Xie’s name was on a list concerning Falun Gong...

Mr. Aurnhammer commented “It is this blacklist the Chinese authorities are using to exert pressure on the Lithuanian government.”
