  • Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Jia Shuxiang and Four Others Tried in Hebei Province

    On December 10th, 2010, when Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Zhang Yalin, Ms. Jia Shuxiang, Ms. Liu Xiuyun, Ms. Zheng Derong and Ms. Li Xiufeng appealed against the persecution of Falun Gong in Yuhuzhai Township, Qianxi County, they were reported to the police by villagers who were brainwashed by the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) lies and arrested by police. On December 15th, except for Ms. Li Xiufeng, the other four practitioners were transferred to the Qianxi Detention Centre. Ms. Li Xiufeng was sent back home because of high blood pressure. Her family members were extorted out of three thousand yuan. In March 2011, the Qianxi County Procuratorate tried all five practitioners.
  • Mr. Ni Zhenxuan, Owner of Shijiazhuang Sofa Factory, Sent to Forced Labour Camp

    On March 4th, 2011, five Falun Gong practitioners from the same village went to Mr. Ni Zhenxuan's home to help take care of his mother. The practitioners and his mother studied the Falun Gong teachings together. Suddenly, several policemen rushed into Mr. Ni's home and dragged the five practitioners into police vehicles and drove away. The police also tried to arrest Mr. Ni's wife, but were not successful. on March 13th, Mr. Ni's family received a forced labour notification from police which required their signature. None of them signed the document. The police threatened his family: “It is illegal to have an assembly and read scriptures.” Currently, Mr. Ni's whereabouts are unknown.
  • Four of Nine Detained Falun Gong Practitioners From Lidi City, Hunan Province Secretly Sent to Wangling Prison

    On March 12th, 2010, nine practitioners were put on a trial in Lixing District Court in Lidi City. All of the practitioners denied the charges against them and stated their innocence. Lawyers from Beijing representing them requested their immediate release. However, on August 3rd, 2010, the practitioners were sentenced to jail. By law, the judgement should have been handed down within one-and-a-half months after the trial. Instead, it was given more than four months later. The practitioners were sentenced to up to ten years in jail.
  • Mr. Liu Chuanjiang Dies as a Direct Result of Being Tortured in Jiamusi Prison

    Between February 26th and March 5th, 2011, both Mr. Qin Yuming and Mr. Yu Yungang were tortured to death. On the morning of March 8th. Mr. Liu Chuanjiang, who was 55 years old, was tortured to death by officers in Jiamusi Prison. All three were Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. Liu was severely persecuted in Jiamusi Prison. They shocked him with four electric batons all at the same time and didn't stop until the four batons ran out of power. They cruelly tortured him and broke his arm.
  • Sentenced to 14 Years, Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Dong Limin Is Persecuted in Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison

    In March 2002, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Dong Limin was taken to the Jiusan Detention Centre and forcibly injected with unknown substances. She was sentenced to 14 years in prison on July 18th, 2002. On July 29th, 2002, she was taken to Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison. Ms. Dong has been imprisoned for eight years and suffers from a serious heart problem; her limbs are weak, and she is emaciated. Now she is being persecuted in Ward 5.
  • Shandong Province Practitioner Wang Yongdong Die in 2001 as Result of Persecution

    In mid-September 2001, police launched a wave of arrests in Yishui County against Falun Gong practitioners. On September 21st, former Falun Gong exercise site volunteer instructor Wang Yongdong was beaten by policemen from the Yishui County Public Security Bureau. Later, he was thrown from the fourth floor of a building. The perpetrators attempted to create a false suicide scene. He had been choked to death, with marks on his neck.

    Ms. Hao Runjuan from Guangzhou City was very healthy before she was arrested. After being continuously tortured for 22 days by police in the Baiyun Detention Centre, Hao Renjuan passed away. The police authorities conducted a full body autopsy without her family members' knowledge. When the family was told to identify the body, it was completely unrecognizable, with fresh bloodstains on it. There were no inner organs, no skin and no eyes in the body. Because the body was so disfigured, none of her family members believed that it was Hao Runjuan, even after seeing the body twice. Then, the family had to take her two-year-old son for a DNA test to confirm that the body was truly his mother's. Finally, it was confirmed that the unrecognizable body was that of Hao Runjuan.

    From the end of 2006 to 2007, I was detained at the Beijing Haidian Detention Centre for over three months. All I heard were the sounds of chains and screaming from beatings every day. The police were trained to be ruthless and never treated detainees as humans. A practitioner in her 50s was detained in the cell next to mine. Because she shouted “Falun Gong is good,” the police chained her hands and feet together. As a result, she could not walk normally. She could only move slowly in the heavy chains, and her back was bent nearly one hundred and eighty degrees. This is called the “Dog Chain” torture.
  • Deyang Prison Brutally Persecutes Falun Gong Practitioners

    The guards in Deyang Prison have developed methodically denigrating procedures to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. For example, when they approach a guard or an office, they must announce themselves as “Inmate So and So” and announce the “crimes" they were charged with. When practitioners refuse to cooperate and, instead, state the truth by saying "I am a Falun Gong practitioner, I am not a criminal," they are forced to attend "military training" during the daytime and, when the training ends in the afternoon, have to stand for long periods of time and are not allowed to use the toilet.

    On September 30th, 2007, 72-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Deng Yangsheng was arrested by policemen who broke into his house and later ransacked his house. He recounts about his detention: "Four policemen led by He and Liu Bin pressed me against the wall beside some steel pipes. Several people held me and spread my arms out and handcuffed my wrists me to the pipes. After standing for about 20 minutes, my head ached severely."
  • The Persecution of Ms. He Lihua

    During the past twelve years of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, Ms. He Lihua was held in prison for nine years. She was extremely thin and weak when she was released on April 15th, 2010. Ms. He Lihua was arrested while she was explaining the truth about Falun Gong to people in the Longfeng District Supermarket on the morning of April 15th, 2005. She was taken to the Daqing Detention Centre and her home was ransacked. She began a two-month-long hunger strike to protest the persecution. She suffered brutal force-feeding and was tortured with the “iron chair”. She was abused to the point of incontinence.
  • Tianjin Woman Persecuted in Forced Labour Camp in Tianjin City

    Since the Chinese Communist Party started persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, Ms. Feng Ling has been arrested, put behind bars in a detention centre, and later tortured in the Banqiao Women's Forced Labour Camp. She recounts: "The guards forced me to do heavy physical work, including carrying 120 pound bags of beans to be exported (I noticed some bags marked with the “U.S.A.”), which were taken off the truck and put on my shoulders. I saw that the dedicated female practitioners (age 55 or younger) were carrying the same as I did. I also witnessed one 55-year-old grey-haired female practitioner being forced to carry these heavy bags of beans. She was not able to do it, but the guards didn't allow others to help her, and said, “She must carry it even if she crawls.”"
  • Ms. Lin Xiumei Tortured in Harbin Women's Prison

    Practitioner Ms. Lin Xiumei was arrested on August 3rd, 2010, by police in Beilin. Beilin District Court in Suihua secretly sentenced Ms. Lin to seven years in prison on February 23rd, 2011. She is being held in Section No. 9 of the Harbin Women's Prison. In the prison, Ms. Lin was deprived of sleep every day. After one week of torture, she was in poor health. Her complexion was dark, and she became skinny. The prison officials told her family that she had to attend “intensified training” for three months and would not be allowed to see them until after June 2011.

    Eleven-year-old Qing Qing no longer wants to go to school. She doesn't fear studying—that's far from it. She is still haunted by the memories, which make her tremble with fear, that come back to her every time she goes to school. In 2008 Qing Qing's teacher told her to come with her to the office. Qing Qing followed her teacher to the office and found several strangers waiting for her. They asked her questions about her mother, Ms. Hu Huifang, who is a Falun Gong practitioner. Ms. Hu Huifang was sentenced to four years of incarceration at the end of the trial and sent to the Wuhan Women’s Prison in July 2009. When Qing Qing later saw her mother in very bad shape in prison, she became distressed.
