Practitioners dressed in golden yellow Tang Dynasty costume performed flowing exercises as dozens of onlookers gathered to watch the Falun Dafa Day activities on Saturday May 10th on the North Terrace, Trafalgar Square, London. A rainbow of coloured balloons arched over a royal blue banner which read: “Celebrating the 16th anniversary of Falun Dafa”.

On May the 14th, Falun Dafa practitioners held activities in the beautiful forest park in Guadeloupe City to mark World Falun Dafa Day and to spread Falun Gong to the public. An exhibition of paintings along with poems once again exposed the violent persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, which touched people’s hearts.

On World Falun Dafa Day, two practitioners from Austria travelled to Ljubljana to share the beauty of Falun Dafa with the Slovenian people and call on their support and concern for the Falun Gong practitioners who are being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The practitioners set up a series of information poster boards in the main square in Ljubljana,

The Swedish people have learned Falun Dafa since 1995. Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, taught the practice personally in Sweden in April, 1995. To help more people understand Falun Gong, Mr. Li made five speeches, about three hours each, including three in Gothenburg, one in Stockholm and one in Uddevalla.

The exhibition consisted of poster boards showing the history of Falun Gong all over the world and detailing the atrocities of the Communist regime in China harvesting of organs of Falun Gong practitioners in labour camps. Big banners stated: “Stop the persecution of Falun Gong” and “Falun Gong is good”. There was also a petition for people to condemn the persecution.

Swedish Falun Gong practitioners celebrated World Falun Dafa Day by displaying pictures from the “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance International Art Exhibition”. They also demonstrated and taught the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. Poster boards were displayed to the public and people could learn how to fold paper lotus flowers.

There was an unusually large amount of Chinese tourists in Frankfurt that day. Buses full of Chinese tourists parked in the square and they all saw the Falun Gong banners after getting off the buses. German people were attracted by the beautiful exercise demonstration and stopped to take a closer look. Some came to find out more and sign their names on a petition.

A representative of the Falun Gong practitioners first introduced the meaning of May the 13th to the audience, saying that this is an important and special day. He said that it has been fourteen years since Master Li first introduced Falun Gong to the public, and now it is widely practised in more than eighty countries around the world

Although it was still a bit cold at the beginning of the summer in Denmark, there were already many tourists coming to visit this renowned historical city in Northern Europe, including many tourists from China. They stopped, carefully read the posters and listened to practitioners’ explanation of what Falun Gong is. Many of them accepted materials leaflets.

On May the 13th 2006, Russian Falun Gong practitioners celebrated the 14th anniversary of Falun Gong’s introduction to the public and the seventh World Falun Dafa Day, at Moscow’s biggest forest park. Many people stopped to take pictures and find out more about the practice of Falun Gong and the persecution taking place in China.

Practitioners from Madrid went to the ancient city of Victoria, A local told them: “This day is the most significant day in my life, because I found out about Falun Gong. When I knew that Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance are the principles of Falun Gong, I was so excited. I knew this was the truth I have been looking for all my life.”

13th May 2006 was the seventh World Falun Dafa Day and the fourteenth year since the practice was introduced to the public. A set of photo display boards detailed the remarkable history of Falun Dafa and the mercy and compassion of Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa. People who saw these photos could feel the beauty of Falun Gong.

Practitioners set up picture exhibition boards and banners that attracted many tourists. People listened to practitioners tell them about the persecution and signed their names on the petition to support the campaign calling for an end to the persecution . Two young men who were not Falun Gong practitioners also helped to hold the banners.
