As my mother watched the show, she murmured: "Look at their spirit. They are totally different from what the propaganda says about them." She then said to me, "I'll be honest with you. When others say something bad about Falun Gong, I do not like it." This was from the bottom of her heart. She watched it over and over again, and she learned to sing the song that Bai Xue sang, "Discard the Old for the New."

With regard to our young practitioners, it is the parents' responsibility to bring them up well. If our children's behavior is unsatisfactory, then as practitioners we should first look within ourselves to find our own inadequacies or attachments. After we correct our own behavior, our children's problems will very likely be solved as well.

One will accomplish more if he wants to learn from anyone he meets who is better than him. While listening to a friends' suggestion or opinion, one will learn new ideas, new technologies, and be more harmonious with his friend. Confucius said, "If three of us are walking together, at least one of the other two is good enough to be my teacher."

I, too, realized some of my problems. Although I had repeatedly reminded my husband to study the Fa and told him that he must build a good foundation in his Fa study if he were to do well the task of a divine being, I was harsh when I reminded him. There was no compassion in my manner. I searched inward and decided it was all because of sentimentality

An ordinary person's life has "birth, aging, illness, and death." A cultivator has conflicts and tribulations. Those are inevitable. Since it is now the final moment of Fa rectification, the time for us to cultivate is very limited.

Our homes are part of our cultivation environment as Falun Dafa practitioners. Every member of our families came here for the Fa. If family members also learn to practice Falun Dafa, aren't they practitioners too? How can you look down on fellow practitioners? Aren't you preventing your family members from obtaining the Fa? Is Dafa taught for you alone?

Although we have gone through a lot in the past years and should have sufficiently matured facing these things, when things happen, sometimes our human notions still surface. Emotions in the human realm still affect us. The key here is our basis for looking at these things. We must not forget that we are Dafa practitioners walking on a divine path and can never be swayed from our task of assisting Master in saving sentient beings.

When we carry out Fa-validation activities, do we consider ourselves divine beings with divine power that are engaged in saving people, or do we just think of ourselves as practitioners distributing truth-clarification flyers and doing things? Are our thoughts in the divine realm or the human realm? Bad people only dare to arrest human beings. They dare not and cannot touch divine beings.

The practitioner is from Dafasi Town, Wuxue City in Hubei Province. When she was 12 years old, a Buddhist monk saw her and asked to look at her right palm. The monk saw through his third eye that there was a lotus flower in her palm. The monk was surprised and said, "Little sister, I should call you Master. You will achieve Right Fruit, very high Fruit Status in the future. There will be a true divine being coming down to save you." Ten years later, she was introduced to Falun Dafa and became a practitioner.

My sister-in-law, who loved dressing up, told me, "Dafa is good, but it is too much suffering. I can't do anything." I knew I had created a problem. I redecorated my house and bought many necessary small appliances. My upstairs neighbor was surprised, "So practitioners of Falun Gong can also live normal lives!"

When the earthquake happened, a middle-aged practitioner sent righteous thoughts and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good" and told other people around her to do the same. Thirty-seven people announced their withdrawals from the CCP organizations then and there.

My eyes were brimming with tears and no words could express my gratitude. I knew it was merciful Teacher helping and my righteous thoughts were very strong, knowing that Teacher was beside me. I finally found a shop that was open, where I bought the last CD burner they had. The shop closed right after I bought it. I knew that Teacher had arranged for them to wait for me.

I realized that my way of dealing with drowsiness by just washing my face with cold water was simply a human trick. I also scared myself with the human notion that I would feel drowsy if I slept less. I actually felt drowsy because I didn't maintain the righteous thoughts of a practitioner. A Falun Dafa practitioner's righteous thoughts are the divine thoughts of gods in the new cosmos. They are brilliant and powerful. It is very easy to use righteous thoughts to deal with drowsiness.

We practitioners cultivate in a maze. It is impossible for all things perceived to be "hints" to actually be hints. Hints may come from dreams, or from what the people around us say. Dreams or what people say can become opportunities for demons to interfere, and they may lead practitioners into tribulations.

Recently I have this understanding of studying the Fa: When I can quiet my mind to study the Fa, in almost every paragraph and almost every day I come to new understandings. The more I learn, the more greater the Fa manifests. I also have a greater interest in studying the Fa. Of course, I pale in comparison with those practitioners who can see the heavenly secrets behind every word .

If a person who does not understand the truth listens to the feedback of a non-practitioner and then sees the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular and comes to understand the truth, the person who provided the feedback would have performed a great service. Through this, he can make amends and eliminate his karma and lay a foundation for obtaining the Fa. Through collecting the feedback of non-practitioners and using it to promote Divine Performing Arts, we will create a chain reaction which will play an important role in saving sentient beings.

Retribution for evildoing will serve as a reminder to people. However, this recent disaster has involved a great deal of people. In my understanding, it is the arrangement of the old forces and this arrangement does not conform to the Fa-rectification. If we do not let sentient beings know the truth and thus save them, we cannot accomplish our vows to Master. Then this will be our failure.

One spring day in 2006 in a village in Huaiyang County, Henan Province, a lady in her 80s saw a bundle of new books with bright yellow covers near the entrance of a local elementary school. "What a pity that those books were lost," she thought, and picked them up.

I deeply admire and appreciate the hardship fellow practitioners go through and the effort they put into running a material production site. I also feel sorry for the barriers that still exist between practitioners. I cultivate at home and have set up a material production site there. After all the ups and downs, I understand the hardship of living and working at a material production site.

Teacher said in Zhuan Falun: "The whole process of cultivation is a process of constantly getting rid of human attachments." In truth clarification, I have transcended from a perceptual stage to a rational stage, from not knowing how to cultivate to knowing how to cultivate and from being afraid to call to being able to call with a peaceful mind.

I told her, "Sister, think about it. The CCP is atheist while we truly believe there are Buddha and Gods. Why would you want to be associated with the CCP?" She suddenly came to her senses and said, "Well then! I will quit the Communist Youth League."

What should us practitioners do after the quake? We shouldn't rush to safety like ordinary people, hoard water and food, or be so worried that we forget that we are practitioners during the Fa-rectification period. We should not forget the three things we need to do well

Teacher has often told us how to stop the evil with righteous thoughts, and how to use righteous thoughts to save sentient beings. How can we be persecuted by low level evil beings at will? How can we be blocked from keeping our promise and achieving our prehistoric vows?

A human life is short, yet our real life is very long. After a long journey, we will eventually return to our first home. On the path of cultivation, although there are tribulations, our will to return to our original, true selves only becomes stronger. No matter how brutal the persecution, no matter how rampant the evil, the only thing that remains is the faith to follow the true principles

At that time I had been practicing Falun Gong for less than a year and was a bit afraid of what my mother said. So I went to a fellow practitioner's home to ask her what she thought about this. She peacefully said, "Why are you afraid? Don't you have Teacher looking after you? How is it possible that an everyday person can do anything to you?" What she said woke me up immediately.

I know a very diligent practitioner. She's about 70 years old. At the end of 2007, I heard that she was paralysed in a fall and was bedridden. I was quite concerned and felt sorry for her, but I had not gotten a chance to visit her. Walking down the street the other day, I met her. Her fine face was peaceful and relaxed, with a hint of a smile. Not only did the tribulation not defeat her, it made her stronger and more persevering, and younger looking, too.

We cultivate "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." We should follow the principle of "Truthfulness" in the corresponding dimensions and not make false statements; follow the principle of "Compassion" and always think of others and consider overall situations; follow the principle of "Forbearance" and eliminate the attachment to selfishness.

Due to the persecution directive to "bankrupt them financially," the financial conditions of many practitioners are very difficult. They may not have money to purchase a dress or suit. Nonetheless, in such difficulties, they still strive to save money in order to validate Dafa. When I thought about this, my feeling of respect and sympathy for them often prevented me from sharing my thoughts about appearances. However, our manners, behaviour, and appearance sometimes directly affect the results of our work.

It has been nine years since the April 25th appeal in 1999. Practitioners have clarified the truth, exposed the persecution, distributed the Nine Commentaries, helped people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organisations, and organised the world tour of the Spectacular shows. Everything they do is to let people know about "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." For nine years, many people have endured cruel torture and difficulties to hold onto these principles.

Ms. Wu Yanxia is a Falun Gong practitioner. Born into a family that boasted of a Chinese Communist Party "martyr," Yanxia joined the CCP in the rural area of Tianjin City at age 18. The CCP once considered her one of their key potential successors. However, the "April 25th event," when more than ten thousand practitioners went to Beijing to peacefully appeal on behalf of Falun Gong, shook her to the core and led her to re-examine herself and to change her outlook on life.

Being a cultivator, I know that nothing is accidental and everything has a reason. However, some of us only remember this when it directly affects our personal interests. It proves that we still understand the Fa on a surface level. For example, if a cultivator has strong righteous thoughts, bad influences will not penetrate into his field. He will not be able to see or be touched by them. If he can see or hear or even feel them, it means that he has got some loopholes, which also means that it is time that he looks inside himself.

As the Fa-rectification progresses, Falun Gong practitioners are expected to create as many truth-clarification material sites as flowers blooming on a spring prairie. I decided to become one of the blooming flowers as well. With the help of a fellow practitioner, I turned my home into a truth-clarification material site.

As long as we put our hearts into it and are considerate of ordinary people's individuality, we will always make breakthroughs. Everything in this world can be utilized by practitioners to fulfill our missions of saving sentient beings.

I wanted to post the truth-clarification posters at the police station to disintegrate the evil there. When I went to the police station, there were people talking in the guard office and someone walking in other rooms, but the entrance was open. I said to myself, "Teacher is next to me, no one can see me." I went inside and put truth-clarification phrases on the wall and posted stickers. I then returned home safely.

How can we dissolve our human notions while strengthening our divine thoughts? We must listen to Teacher and study the Fa more. Whenever we encounter tribulations, divine thoughts will be expressed, which will enable us to resolve our issues. When we are able to do so, there will be no more persecution.

This is just like Teacher said, "When you always think that you've got health problems, you might just give yourself health problems..." Why did this happen? "That's because your character has dropped to the level of an ordinary person." In other words, I was just an ordinary person at that time. An ordinary person cannot save another ordinary person. In that state, I certainly could not save the Party secretary.

I misunderstood the meaning of what Teacher defined as a "good person" and thought that I appropriately fought to protect the "truth." Subsequently, I was not tolerant, lacked good self-control, and demonstrated even less compassion. This issue has caused some problems concerning my relationships with others.

If we always choose the Fa first, then the use of the word "busy" becomes different. If we consider validating the teachings of Falun Dafa and saving sentient beings as more important than any other things, then our hearts are selfless. This attitude raises our xinxing (character) level, and it brings us into a process of giving up our human attachments.

Every practitioner probably has many understandings and experiences with the attachment of fear. The attachment of fear is an obvious human attachment, one that we cultivators must be able to identify and then get rid of. Otherwise it will affect the diligence of many practitioners.

here is another thing. Many practitioners view their local truth-clarification material centers and the Clearwisdom website as "volunteer work" contracted to certain practitioners, "work places," or "higher authorities." Instead of studying the Fa, looking inward, and coming up with different ways to solve the problems, they push all their problems onto others.

Think back. When practitioners in Tianjin were arrested in 1999, we went to Beijing. That was the April 25th spirit, which will never perish in the universe. But now, how many of us go to the local police stations, detention centers, and labor camps to request that practitioners be released. How many of us send righteous thoughts and put forth our efforts to help them after they are persecuted?

Some practitioners asked why she was not afraid. Ms. Li replied that in her experience, she holds only the thought of assisting Teacher in Fa-rectification and saving people, maintains righteous thoughts and acts righteously in the face of ordeals. In this way, one's righteous thoughts will be strong, and one is able to walk through the tribulations.

Thus, the only choice I have is to act according to the Fa that Teacher teaches us. We are creating the future. The people of the future will form families, so it's all right for us to have our own families. However, the future people's moral standard must comply to that of the new universe. One of the requirements is never to engage in any sexual activity before marriage, so we should be a role model in this regard.

We had all committed enormous sins. Was it still worthwhile for us to continue practicing cultivation? Before long, all three of us wrote solemn declarations, expressing our repentance and determination to begin cultivation practice all over again. But repentance didn't mean we could easily carry on practicing. Tests followed.

I now realize that all these attachments are the cause of my not wanting to save sentient beings and being a real cultivator. All these mundane matters have moved me, and I was not even aware of the fact that I was bringing losses to myself.

After finding my attachments, I diligently studied and memorized the Fa. When each paragraph of Fa appeared in my mind, a great deal of energy also entered my field. By then, if I felt any desire, I knew the thought was very dirty. If we neglect Fa study, our righteous thoughts can become insufficient. There were so many dirty things in my dimensions, especially the lust.

Last month I resolved to myself that regardless of how busy I am every day, I must ensure that I study at least two lectures in the book Zhuan Falun, even if it means going without sleep. Only a month has passed by, but I feel that I have improved significantly in many respects.

Feeling fear is not your true self; fear is a notion formed after birth in this world. When the attachment of fear appears, we should instantly deny, repel, and reduce it. If we openly and righteously go and do whatever we should do, we will never be affected by the attachment of fear. Otherwise, can we believe that we are practitioners?
