Austrian Falun Gong practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in Stevens Square in Vienna city centre on Saturday the 2nd of October to expose the Jiang regime’s cruel persecution. People were shocked upon seeing the cruel methods of torture that are being used in attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their beliefs in China.

The citizens of Guadeloupe are very sensitive to suffering. In the past, they were victims of slavery. Therefore, most people are very open and listen to practitioners explaining the genocide that is happening in China today. People express their complete disapproval of this kind of cruel supppression and can’t understand how such a peaceful practice could be persecuted like this.

The report quoted Xiong Wei’s account of the persecution, forced education (brainwashing) and humiliation she has experienced in China’s detention centres and labour camps. Xiong Wei said, “The police have learned how to beat prisoners without leaving any scars on the body’s surface.” On several occasions, she was forced to stand still for hours without taking any food or water. She was imprisoned with several people in a small cell, which had only one toilet.

Mr. Tang Jianwas a Falun Gong practitioner. Since he refused to give up his belief in Falun Gong, he was tortured until injuries covered every part of his body. He died at home after telling his family about the tortures he suffered at the Shuangkou Forced Labour Camp. Tang Jian died on July 9, 2004, from the brutal torture he received at the camp. A strong and excellent teacher died of torture at the age of 39 just because he firmly followed the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance!".

On January 30, 2002, when Falun Dafa practitioner Ms Tian Jinzhi, over 50 years old, from Jiangxi Province clarified the facts about Falun Gong, police abducted her and interrogated her for forty-eight hours. During this time, they did not allow her to eat, drink, or use the toilet. On February 2, 2002, they held Ms. Tian in the detention centre and then sent her to Majialong Forced Labour Camp. Ms. Tian suffered from all kinds of tortures: merciless beatings, electric shock, forced bending from the waist, and prolonged standing with the front of her body pressed against a wall.

"Facing violence and persecution, I passed through the crisis clear-headedly and reasonably thanks to my firm belief in Falun Dafa. On Oct. 18, 2000 I was illegally jailed in Heizuizi Women's Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City, where I suffered more brutal psychological and physical persecution. It was said that more than 2000 Falun Dafa practitioners were detained there at that time."

Dafa practitioner Mr Yu Yingnan has been detained in Huludao City Forced Labour Camp twice for practising Falun Gong. The first time he was detained from June 24, 2000 to October 23, 2001. The second time began June 16, 2002, with his term due to end sometime next year. He has undergone vicious torture. Prison guards took off all of Yu's clothes and shocked every part of Yu's body with electric batons, including his head, face, neck, shoulders armpits, back, chest, abdomen, waist, hands, legs and feet.

Jiang manipulated the nation's propaganda to defame and spread hatred towards Falun Gong to achieve the vicious goal of deceiving all Chinese people into being against Falun Gong. At the same time, Jiang issued orders secretly at every level to force each governmental department to persecute Falun Gong. Furthermore, he issued the order to the police that "[practitioners] beaten to death will be counted as suicides."

One day, I found a pamphlet in my mailbox about Falun Gong. After reading it carefully, I was so glad to have come across this wonderful practice. I immediately contacted a local assistant, and began doing the exercises and studying the teachings on November 15, 2000. After participating in the nine-day seminar, my body went through an obvious transformation. Right now, I am able to walk confidently, and get up and down stairs with ease. After practising for half a year, the gout, which had bothered me for years, vanished without a trace. I was on a strict diet in the past, but I am now able to eat anything I wish.

Martin Bermudez is the host of a radio program in the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires. During his last trip to New York, he saw anti-torture exhibitions performed by Falun Dafa practitioners in Manhattan. He was shocked so deeply that he asked himself, "What can I do?" When he returned to Argentina, he immediately contacted Falun Dafa practitioners for more information on the practise and the situation in China. On October 1st, 2004 "The Island" broadcast the first special report about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China.

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is a busy place and has great influence on the world economy. Across the street, Falun Gong practitioners from the west coast were demonstrating exercises and telling passersby that innocent practitioners are being persecuted in China.
