  • Falun Gong Practitioners Systematically Murdered for Their Organs: Refuting the Chinese Regime's "Death Row" Explanation, Chapter I

    In 2006, The Epoch Times newspaper broke a stunning story about what is undoubtedly one of the most horrible atrocities to be committed by any government, not only in modern times, but in all of recorded history. As documented in the investigative report, "Bloody Harvest," by noted human rights lawyer David Matas and former Canadian Secretary of State for the Asia-Pacific region David Kilgour, there is overwhelming evidence of the Chinese Communist regime's chilling role in systematically murdering Falun Gong practitioners, harvesting their organs while they are alive, and making huge profits from doing so.
  • Mr. Wang Mingliang, a Highly Skilled Technician from Longkou, Shandong Province, Is Arrested

    Several police officers followed Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Mingliang to his workplace on April 11th, 2012. Before he entered the building, four officers shoved him down to the ground and handcuffed him. Mr. Wang resisted the arrest and shouted “Falun Gong is good!” They drove his mini-van away and held him at the Dongjiang Police Station. The police went to Mr. Wang's office and took away DVDs exposing the persecution of Falun Gong, books and calenders from his locker. Mr. Wang was taken to Dongjiang Police Station, where he was interrogated on a torture device known as the iron chair.
  • Falun Gong Practitioners Still Tortured at Siping Prison in Jilin Province

    The guards at Siping Prison in Jilin Province have been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners for years. They have employed various methods including solitary confinement, electric shock, beatings, forced labour and extension of terms, in an attempt to force practitioners to give up their belief. Mr. Shao Changpu was sentenced to 10 years in Siping Prison. Because he spoke out against the persecution he was severely beaten by guards. They also shocked him with electric batons, attempting to force him to write a repentance statement to renounce practising Falun Gong.
  • Ms. Qu Liling, a Disabled Practitioner from Inner Mongolia, Arrested in Panshi City, Jilin Province

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Qu Liling is disabled. On April 24th, 2012, she went with another practitioner surnamed Tan to the General Management Office of Mingcheng Township. They tried to get back Ms. Tan's pension, which the office had held illegally. The office director Wu Dechun, and Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members and police from the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) arrested and detained the two practitioners in the Panshi City Detention Station.
  • Canadian MPs Discuss Torture in China Forum focuses on plight of Falun Gong today

    A handful of MPs gathered near Parliament Hill, Ottawa, Canada, on Wednesday to discuss the plight of Falun Gong on the 13th anniversary of the largest peaceful protest in China since the Tiananmen Square massacre. Shawn Li, the president of the Falun Dafa Association of Canada, said many groups are persecuted in China, including Tibetan Buddhists and Uyghur Muslims, but none as harshly as Falun Gong adherents. MP Brent Rathgeber described the current abuses, which include evidence of forced organ harvesting, as “disturbing.”
  • Ms. Sun Xiuxia Dies after Being Abused in Jilin Province Women's Prison

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun Xiuxia, 51, died on April 30th, 2012, after being abused in Heizuizi Women's Prison. She was carried to hospital on a stretcher for “emergency treatment” that same day. Because Ms. Sun refused to give up her belief and resisted the “transformation,” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] she was locked in solitary confinement many times while in the prison. Ms. Sun had been held in forced labour camps several times previously.
  • Mr. Cao Dazhang Severely Persecuted in Jiujiang Forced Labour Camp, Jiangxi Province

    Recently, Jiujiang City Forced Labour Camp in Jiangxi Province has intensified the persecution of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Cao Dazhang in an attempt to “transform” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] him. Mr. Cao is being monitored by several prisoners and guards from the second brigade. They take turns to torture him 24 hours a day. They do not allow him to sleep, give him very little to eat, and force him to do labour for more than 12 hours a day. One guard furiously said to Mr. Cao's family, “I have transformed several hundred Falun Gong practitioners. Only six practitioners didn't transform. Of the six, two were tortured to death. If Cao Dazhang refuses to be transformed, I will continue to torture him until he dies!”
  • Three Retired Women from Anyang City, Henan Province Secretly Sentenced

    Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Liu Fenglan, Ms. Chen Xuesheng, and Ms. Li Hui have been detained in the Anyang City Detention Centre for over five months. The Anyang District Court secretly tried and sentenced Ms. Liu without notifying her relatives. It is currently not clear if Ms. Chen and Ms. Li have been tried or not. The family members of Falun Gong practitioners see their relatives unreasonably detained, and their homes ransacked again and again. But they have no place to appeal and can't protect or rescue their relatives. They themselves are subjected to coercion and intimidation.
  • Liaoning Women’s Prison Guards Severely Beat and Torture Kindergarten Teacher

    Kindergarten teacher Liu Yinfeng was arrested in November 2008 and was sentenced to three years in prison. She has since been severely tortured at Liaoning Women’s Prison. Liu Yinfeng was kept in solitary confinement and monitored by two prisoners around the clock. Since she refused to write the so-called “five letters” to renounce Falun Gong, she was forced to stand for long periods, and deprived of sleep. She was not allowed to close her eyes or squat down or she would be beaten. They forced her to take medication, and when she refused it, they held her down on the ground and forced the medication into her mouth. When she threw away the bottles, three people surrounded her and beat her violently about the head.
  • Ms. Wang Qinghua from Chengdu City, Sichuan Province Persecuted for 15 Days

    Ms. Wang Qinghua is 61 years old. She used to have many health problems, including heart disease, a frozen shoulder, and after-effects from a car accident. In 1998, three months after she started to practise Falun Gong, all of these disappeared without any medication. On January 9th, 2012, Ms. Wang Qinghua went to visit a practitioner in Xinjin Brainwashing Centre. Ms. Wang spoke about the goodness of Falun Gong to a salesperson across the street from the brainwashing centre. Ms. Wang was reported to brainwashing centre staff and was also arrested. She was sent to the Yongsheng Detention Centre.
  • Practitioners Recently Arrested in Songyuan City, Jilin Province

    Songyuan City is located near Changchun City, Jilin Province. Since July 1999, when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong, large numbers of practitioners in Songyuan have been arrested and sentenced. The persecution became especially severe after March 5th, 2002, when practitioners tapped into the local TV network system to broadcast truth-clarification videos. They were able to do this again during the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Recently, police in Songyuan have arrested many practitioners and confiscated their personal belongings. It was learned that the police had been monitoring practitioners' mobile phones in order to find them quickly.
  • Falun Gong Practitioner Wang Meiling in Dire Situation at Yunnan Women's Prison

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Meiling is from Chuxiong City, Yunnan Province. She was sentenced to three years in prison and has been held in Yunnan No. 2 Women's Prison for over nine months. Her family is extremely concerned about her condition. She is very weak, has blurred vision, and has uncontrollable night terrors.

    When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to persecute Falun Gong in July 1999, Liu Xingli was a young clerk in Changshou Public Security Bureau in Chongqing. It is reported that he worked closely with the police to persecute Falun Gong practitioners by unjustly arresting, ransacking, beating, threats, fabricating charges, torture, fabricating lies and committing perjury, and forcing practitioners by torture to denounce Falun Gong and its founder, Teacher Li Hongzhi. Over the past 12 years, he has persecuted 100 practitioners who were arrested and sentenced, sent to forced labour camps or brainwashing centres, or mental hospitals; and Liu participated in all these cases.

    Heilongjiang Women's Prison guards forced Ms. Liu Deqing, a 60-year-old physician from the Hailun Health Centre, to sit still on a small stool all day long, from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Inmates pricked her with toothpicks and beat her hard with planks or brushes. After more than two years of brutality, she had all-over oedema. Her abdomen had swelled, like someone who is seven months pregnant. Ms. Liu died on November 27th, 2011.
  • Chen Xin on Hunger Strike in Jinzhou Prison to Protest Persecution; His Family Not Allowed to See Him for Three Years

    Chen Xin, a Falun Gong practitioner from Dalian, was sentenced to 13 years in prison in 2002. He has been held in Jinzhou Prison for ten years. Recently Cui Yuanqi, section leader of the First Ward, and team leader Liu Hongwei tried to force Mr. Chen to be “transformed” (to give up his belief). They held him in solitary confinement. Mr. Chen has been on a hunger strike for over a month to protest the persecution.
