  • Atrocities Behind the Products Made by Slave Labour in Inner Mongolia Women’s Prison

    The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Women's Prison, also known as the “Yinghua Garment Factory,” enslaves their detainees, which include criminal inmates and innocent Falun Gong practitioners. The prisoners make uniforms for the Public Security and the Industrial and Commercial agencies. They also adorn embroidery on sweaters, make fringe for scarfs, pick loose wool and small objects off sweaters, package disposable chopsticks and toothpicks, and sort buckwheat. The semi-finished products arrive at the prison, go through a finishing process and become end products with a “Made in China” label on them. Most of the products are exported through foreign trade, including the sorted buckwheat.
  • Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Lu Jinyou Sentenced Twice, Files Second Appeal

    Practitioner Mr. Lu Jinyou was arrested by the Zhuozhou city police more than one year ago. He was sentenced to three years in prison by the Zhuozhou Municipal Court, and a final verdict was approved by the Baoding City Intermediate People's Court. Mr. Lu Jinyou rejected the sentence and has appealed to the Hebei Provincial Higher People's Court as of February 26th. In Mr. Lu Jinyou's appeal letter, he demands that the Provincial Higher People's Court revoke the final verdict, give him a new trial, and make a fair judgment. He also demands that the courts repair the social impact caused by the framing of Falun Gong practitioners and restore their reputation.
  • Mr. Li Decheng from Gaizhou City Recently Sentenced Again

    Mr. Li Decheng, 66, is a practitioner from Gaizhou City in Liaoning Province. He has previously been sentenced twice due to his belief in Falun Gong, totalling 9 years. On February 24th, officials at Gaizhou Court sentenced him to another 6 years in prison. When Mr. Li's family told the court to provide evidence for their decision, they were made to leave the court. Mr. Li later appealed.
  • After Ten Years of Imprisonment, Mr. Shi Yanwu Tortured to Death in Shijiazhuang Prison

    Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Shi Yanwu was tortured to death at the age of 40 on February 28th, 2012 in Shijiazhuang Prison (also called Hebei Province No. 4 Prison). The details of Mr. Shi's death are under investigation. In 2002 Mr. Shi was detained in detention centre for practising Falun Gong. He was brutally beaten and force-fed with salt water, shocked with electric batons, beaten with belts, and hung up. Mr. Shi waqs sentenced to 10 years in prison.
  • Shu Anqing from Sichuan Detained for Three Months, His Mother Demands His Release

    Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Shu Anqing has been held in Guling Detention Centre for three months. His lawyer went to Guling to do an investigation before the New Year, but he was interfered with everywhere he went.Police tried their very best to prevent this lawyer from seeing his client. Sources say that recent orders from above demanded an immediate solution and sentence. Mr. Shu’s mother doesn’t believe that her son should be in jail because he is a good person. She went to Guling with some relatives and friends on February 22nd, and demanded the legal departments in Guling release her son.
  • Nanjing Practitioner Ms. Xie Lihua, 51, Arrested Again After Being Imprisoned Three Times in Forced Labour Camps

    On February 15th, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xie Lihua was arrested by police while she was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong in the Houzaimen area. She has been incarcerated at the Nanjing Detention Centre since February 16th. She has been repeatedly persecuted since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong practitioners on July 20th, 1999. Ms. Xie was detained at a forced labour camp three times, and twice in a brainwashing centre. She suffered from various tortures because she refused to renounce Falun Gong.
  • Ms. Pan Xiaoping from Shifang City Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labour

    Ms. Pan Xiaoping, a Falun Gong practitioner from Shifang City of Sichuan Province, was arrested again on December 21st, 2011 by local police officers and detained for 15 days. She was later sentenced to one year of forced labour and taken to the Nanmusi Women's Forced Labour Camp in Zizhong City, Sichuan Province.
  • Ms. Zhang Lifang in Critical Condition as a Result of Torture in Sichuan Women's Prison

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Lifang, 55, is being held at the Sichuan Women's Prison, and is in critical condition as a result of persecution. She was arrested for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong at Longjiaoshan Temple on the morning of April 1st, 2010, and was then sentenced to five years in prison. This is her second time being sentenced. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Zhang was repeatedly abused by officers and informers. They broke her hands and feet, and knocked out her teeth. She suffered comminuted fractures in her hands and feet. She has been suffering for the past ten-plus years.
  • Ms. Chen Shuqin Tortured to Death in Changchun Women's Prison in 2011

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chen Shuqin began practising Falun Gong in 1996. She benefited physically and mentally and many of her illnesses disappeared. During the past 12 years of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) suppression of Falun Gong, Ms. Chen was arrested eight times for her faith. She served a one-year term in a forced labour camp, and was then sentenced to five years in prison. She was bound to a “stretching torture device” and was stretched for long periods of time. It was the most brutal torture and she was on the brink of death. Ms. Chen refused to renounce Falun Gong and was beaten to death. She died in Changchun Women's Prison in February 2011.
  • More Than 20 Practitioners Recently Subjected to Severe Physical Abuse and Torture in Ward No. 8 of Jilin Prison

    In late February 2012, Jilin Prison head Li Shijin and deputy head Geng Mingcai ordered that an “Education Division” be set up. The actual purpose of this division is specifically for brainwashing and “reforming” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] Falun Gong practitioners using coercion and torture. More than 20 practitioners who have been imprisoned for many years were transferred to this ward and subjected to violent brainwashing.
  • Mr. Yin Mingli Goes on Hunger Strike to Protest Persecution in Prison; Family Denied Visitation Rights

    Mr. Yin Mingli is currently imprisoned in the Dalian Education Camp (similar to a forced labour camp, utilized for brainwashing practitioners). Mr. Yin went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Recently, his wife and daughter went to the camp to visit him, however, guards denied their visit without providing any reason.
  • Ms. Du Xiaoli from Anhui Province Arrested Four Months Ago

    On November 12th, 2011, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Du Xiaoli was arrested at home by police from Jiaopo Town Police Station. The police confiscated her computer and printer. Du has now been detained nearly four months. Intending to persecute her further, Funan County Police Department personnel have submitted the materials they prepared to sentence her to the Procuratorate.
  • Outstanding Teacher Peng Jing from Macheng City, Hubei Province, Brutally Persecuted

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Peng Jing consistently received “Outstanding Teacher” awards for over ten years, changed a class of bad students into a good one, and had over 100 of her students win awards province-wide and nationwide. But she was forced to leave the teaching career she loved and was arrested and persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) because she practises Falun Gong. She was almost persecuted to death once, and she was brainwashed so badly that afterward she could not even remember her home phone number.
  • Ms. Zhu Yifang Dies after Being Tortured, Hung up with Handcuffs and Injected with Unknown Drugs

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhu Yifang was detained several times and tortured. She became emaciated, and her feet were swollen and had festered. She died at the age of 49 on March 6th, 2012. In 2002, Ms. Zhu was arrested and taken to the Chengdu Detention Centre. She was hung up in a dark room for seven days and seven nights. In 2006, Ms. Zhu was arrested again and taken to the Guangyuan City Detention Centre. The police put her in handcuffs and shackles on a "death bed" in the position of "Five Horses Splitting the Body,” and force-fed her. The prison doctor gave Ms. Zhu some unknown injections repeatedly each day which caused sharp pain, and she was shivering all over.
  • Mr. Zhang Puhe's Life in Imminent Danger after 12 Years of Abuse

    Mr. Zhang Puhe has been subjected to 12 years of brutal mental, physical, and economic persecution for trying to be a kind person by following the principles of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance. He was sentenced to two years of forced labour, and then ten years in prison. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials implicated his family. Mr. Zhang's wife was forced to divorce him. His mother died as a result of intimidation in 2003. His father has become paralyzed. At present, Mr. Zhang remains being detained at the No. 2 Team, No. 6 Ward, Lianjiangkou Prison in Jiamusi City. His life is in imminent danger.
