Ms. Chen Linfen Arrested While Walking on the Road, Then Detained and Tortured in a Labour Camp

When I was detained in the Fujian Provincial Women's Forced Labour Camp, a guard instigated inmate Yu Aiqiong to take away my toilet tissue. I had to use my underwear instead, but that was subsequently taken away. I had no choice but to use the prison uniform issued by the labour camp to clean myself, but even that was later taken away. I was also not allowed to take a shower. Eventually, I was not allowed to use the toilet. One day instructor Chen Dong took away my toilet receptacle and forced me to sit with a full bladder until dawn. Three inmates took turns monitoring me around the clock. Yu Aiqiong took my urine-stained towel and stuffed it into my mouth. -
In Persecuting Good People, the Authorities Break the Law and Try to Extort Funds from Their Victims
2012-07-17On the morning of May 21st, 2012, police arrested Ms. Zhang Huimin and Ms. Deng Gezi, two Falun Gong practitioners from Gutouzhuang Village in Xiong County, Hebei Province, and took them to the station. That afternoon the women were transferred to the the Anxin County Detention Centre. Shortly afterward police took Ms. Zhang and Ms. Deng to Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labour Camp. All the officers accompanied the practitioners, because they intended to divide the bonus money. It had been announced that, for each practitioner sentenced to forced labour, the participants would receive 30,000 yuan. -
Attorney Enters a Not-Guilty Plea in the Appeal Case of Ms. Jin Yijun from Lanzhou City
2012-07-17Ms. Jin Yijun, a law professional from Lanzhou City, was arrested on December 7th, 2011, and sentenced to one year of forced labour for practising Falun Gong. Her family filed several appeals to secure her release. The Chengguan District Court accepted their case and held a hearing on June 7th, 2012, at the Gansu Province Women's Forced Labour Camp, where Ms. Jin has been detained. Her attorney entered a not-guilty plea on her behalf, but the judge adjourned the session without issuing a verdict. -
Mr. Li Lankui Arrested in Zhengding County, Hebei Province; Villagers Stand Up to Police
2012-07-17On June 1st, at around 6 o'clock in the morning, more than 20 police officers from the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) arrived in four police cars to break into Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Lankui's home. Since Mr. Li was not home at the time, his family was forced to lead the police to look for him. They ran into Mr. Li on the way and the police tried to force him to sign paperwork on the spot. Mr. Li told them sternly, “Falun Gong is good!” The neighbours couldn't just stand aside. Instead, they surrounded the police officers and tried to reason with them, “Mr. Li is not stealing from or robbing anybody. He is very fair and kind in doing business. Why do you guys keep on harassing such a good person?” -
After 8 Years of Imprisonment, Mr. Liu Dexi in Dalian City Detained Again
2012-07-17Just 6 months after being released from 8 years of imprisonment for practising Falun Gong, Mr. Liu Dexi was arrested again by police on May 22nd, 2012, as Mr. Liu posted fliers in Sanshilibao Market in Dalian City to expose the persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. Liu is currently detained in the Puwan New District Detention Centre. Mr. Liu was subjected to such torture and brainwashing for 4 years, until, under extreme pressure, he wrote a guarantee statement to renounce his faith in Falun Gong. In 2004, was arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Mr. Liu From 2008 onward, Mr. Liu was forced to do heavy labour for 8 hours a day. -
Arrested While Visiting a Friend, Chifeng Woman Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison
2012-07-17Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Cuimin was seized by police from the Songshan District Domestic Security Division when she went to visit a friend. She was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Songshan District Court in Chifeng. Since 2012, Chifeng police have continually harassed, arrested, and tortured Falun Gong practitioners. According to available statistics, in a span of three months, 14 practitioners have been arrested, interrogated, and tortured and their homes ransacked. Even more practitioners and their relatives have been harassed. They are all being detained in the Songshan District Detention and the Hongshan District Detention Centre. They are forced to pick beans and do hard labour. They work long hours with very limited rest time. -
Wang Caixia, Who Has Experienced Years of Persecution, Held in Brainwashing Centre Once Again
2012-07-17On May 31st, 2012, Falun Gong practitioner Wang Caixia was arrested as she went to work. This latest arrest is yet another round of persecution against Ms. Wang, who has endured years of harassment, imprisonment and torture at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party. The police confiscated a computer from her house, and at noon, four policemen went to Wang Caixia's parents' home and told them that Wang Caixia was being held in the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Centre. -
Yu Huazhi Detained Over Six Months, Family Denied Visitation
2012-07-17Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yu Huazhi was arrested on November 5th, 2011 and has been detained for more than six months. Her family went to the detention centre many times, but has not been allowed to see her. Officials at the detention centre however, ordered them to pay for Ms. Yu's medical expenses, as she had a cardiac examination at the police hospital. -
Xiangfang District Court in Harbin Tries Xiao Kun and Three Other Practitioners
2012-07-17On May 18th, 2012, the Xiangfang District Court in Harbin tried Falun Gong practitioners Xiao Kun, Xiao Yang, Zhang Shengguo, and Hou Yinghua. The four are among dozens of Falun Gong practitioners who were arrested on December 31st, 2011. Their attorneys filed not-guilty pleas in court for them. During the trial, the police fabricated evidence against them. The Chinese Communist Party never treats Falun Gong practitioners according to the law. So-called trials are just a formality, and are a farce. The police often fabricate evidence and try to frame practitioners. -
New Round of Arrests in the Shenyang City Shenbei New District
2012-07-17Officers from the Shenbei New District Police Department in Shenyang City simultaneously carried out arrests of Falun Gong practitioners in four different places. The arrests took place on the evening of June 7th, 2012. Police arrested Ms. Guan Yaqing and her non-practitioner husband and took them to the Huangjia Township Police Station. -
Pharmacist Mr. Gao Shouhai from Shaanxi Province Dies as a Result of Persecution in Weinan Prison
2012-07-10Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Gao Shouhai, 48, died on May 15th, 2012 after he had been physically abused and tortured in Weinan Prison for nearly 4 years. Over the past few years, team lead Zhang Zhongqiu instigated ruthless criminal Su Mingying, whose nickname is “the beast,” to severely physically abuse and torture Falun Gong practitioners. The prison authorities have tightly blocked news of Mr. Gao's death. Information about his death and details regarding the persecution he was subjected to are being investigated. -
Nine Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested in 3 Weeks in Pingdu City
2012-07-10Officials in Pingdu City, Shandong Province, have arrested many Falun Gong practitioners since the start of 2012. The Pingdu 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and various local police stations have participated in the persecution. Nine practitioners were taken into custody from May 21st to June 13th, 2012. On May 21st, police arrested Ms. Li Jihua when she spoke to people about Falun Gong in a local market. Ms. Li was sent to the Dashan Detention Centre in Qingdao City. -
Mr. Sun Jiefeng and Mr. Deng Tiansheng Sentenced in Shenzhen City
2012-07-10The Universiade Games were hosted in Shenzhen in 2011. Under the pretence of maintaining security for the event, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) authorities arrested and incarcerated many Falun Gong practitioners in the area. Police arrested Mr. Sun Jiefeng and Mr. Deng Tiansheng on April 22nd, 2011. Both practitioners have been incarcerated in the Longgang District Detention Centre for over a year. Longgang District Court recently sentenced Mr. Sun to 2 years and 10 months in prison and Mr. Deng to 1 year and 3 months in prison. Mr. Sun is in the process of appealing the verdict. -
Doctor at Harbin Chinese Medicine Hospital Now a Paraplegic as a Result of Torture
2012-07-10Dr. Tian Qingling worked in Harbin Chinese Medicine Hospital. She was arrested six months ago and taken to a forced labour camp. She was tortured so severely in Qianjin Women's Forced Labour Camp in Harbin that her legs were paralyzed and she is now a paraplegic. When her existing patients and new patients came to the hospital for their appointments with her, the hospital managers lied and told them that she couldn't come to work due to family issues. -
Transferred to Three Brainwashing Centres in One Month, Ms. Wang Yin Recounts Her Experience of Harassment, Forced-feeding, and Torture
2012-07-10After Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Yin was arrested on August 24th, 2011, she was held at the Jilin City Shahezi brainwashing facility for eight days and was then transferred to the Xinglongshan brainwashing facility in Changchun City on September 1st. On September 21st she was transferred again, to the Shulan brainwashing facility. She was not released until September 29th. Within the span of one month, Wang Yin endured brutal persecution in these three brainwashing centres. During that period, the mistreatment and abuse included forced-feeding, sexual assault, being tied to a death bed, and other atrocities.
