Father Tortured to Death: Daughter Demands Investigation by National People's Congress
2017-08-19Yang Yuyong, my father, died in the Wuqing Detention Centre in Tianjin on July 11, 2017. Large bruises were found on his neck and body and blood was in his eyes and ears. Large wounds were in and around his ears. In addition, his toes showed injuries as if they had been pricked with fine bamboo sticks. -

Ms. Chen Loses Eyesight After Being Poisoned in Labour Camp
2017-02-18Ms. Chen Guizhen, a Falun Gong practitioner from Xuyong County, lost sight in her left eye as a result of being poisoned in Nanmusi Women's Forced Labour Camp more than a decade ago. She was given soya milk to drink by the guards. She describes her reaction: "My heart began beating so fast that it felt like it would explode out of my chest. I started having convulsions and was unable to move. They took me to a hospital where I was injected with unknown drugs. I then lost my memory. The inmates grabbed my hands and forced me to sign the three statements to renounce Falun Gong. I gradually began losing sight in that eye and eventually it became completely blind." -

2016-02-21“A serious disease pushed me to the edge of despair when I was 19. I had a strong desire to survive, and this drove me to practice Falun Gong. I soon regained my health and a rekindled hope in life,” said Mr. Zhang Guoliang when he began to practise Falun Gong. When the persecution of Falun Gong started in July 1999, Mr. Zhang was arrested and sentenced to three and a half years in prison, where he suffered horrific torture. His chest was seriously damaged, and he developed hydrocephalus. -
62-Year-Old Jiangxi Woman Wanted for Ten Years Recaptured and Sentenced for Her Faith
2016-02-20Ms. Gong Yuxiu, 62, was sentenced to prison again after ten years on the run to avoid serving a 2005 sentence for refusing to renounce her faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. She went on a hunger strike to protest the detention but was brutally force-fed. The guards knocked out two of her teeth as they tried to pry her mouth open. Ms. Gong managed to escape while being treated in a local hospital. She was recently captured, given 7.5 years and has been transferred to Jiangxi Province Women's Prison. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Arrested, Sentenced After Browsing Minghui Website
2016-02-15Falun Gong practitioner Luo Jingshan is appealing his verdict after he was sentenced to two and a half years in prison on January 28th, 2016. Three residential committee members showed up at Mr. Luo's home on August 11th, 2015. They discovered that Mr. Luo was browsing Minghui.org, a Falun Gong website that reports on the persecution of the spiritual discipline by the Chinese communist regime. -
Hebei Province: Four Locals File Complaints Against 610 Office Head and Court Officials
2016-02-13Four Sanhe City, Hebei Province, residents recently filed complaints against the head of the local 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and court officials for sentencing them to prison on trumped-up charges and interfering with their appeals. The three men and one woman, who all practise Falun Gong, were sentenced on November 5th, 2015, after five hearings riddled with violations of legal procedure on the part of the police, the court, and the procuratorate.
