  • Detained For Eight Years, Ms. Li Dongqing Must Be Released from Prison

    Li Dongqing appealed for Falun Gong and has been detained since September 1999. She was first sentenced to forced labour for three years. She was again sentenced to five years in Liaoning Province Women's Prison. Li Dongqing has been tortured in many ways, including being detained in a small cell, being brutally beaten, shocked by electric batons, and being humiliated. For almost the entire one and a half years, she was detained in a small cell.
  • Sanshui Forced Labour Camp in Guangdong Province Torturing Falun Gong Practitioners with Electric Batons and Brutal Force-Feeding

    In the later part of July 2007, "the Special Monitoring Brigade" at the Sanshui Forced Labour Camp inhumanely tortured Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Zeng Yong, Mr. Li Shengyu, Mr. Luo Honglin, and Mr. Xia Changfu. The practitioners were tied up and shocked with electric batons, were deprived of food, prohibited from using the toilet and taking baths, confined in a room, and forced to perform heavy labour. On July 26th, from 1:00 to 3:00 am, guard Zheng (surname) tied Mr. Zeng Yong's hands and feet to a chair, and shocked him with four electric clubs until he foamed at the mouth and lost consciousness. The police revived him with cold water and continued to shock him. This torture lasted for two hours.
  • Persecution by Brainwashing Is on the Rise in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province

    In Changzhou City, brainwashing sessions are one of the elements of the persecution system. Brainwashing sessions can be held anytime and anywhere. In order to achieve the purpose of "transformation," the heads of the 610 Office in charge of all local cities and regions and all street security and neighbourhood committees send people to participate. These professionally-trained people, upon their release from the forced labour camp, are responsible for "transforming" practitioners. All these people work together to form a persecution group. No money is spared, and a large number of people are employed to provide food and accommodations so they can besiege Dafa practitioners around the clock.
  • A Teacher's Illnesses Disappeared after Practising Falun Gong; the Police Arrest Her Again

    When Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Fu Jinhua went to Dezhou City on August 14th, 2007 to handle some business, she was arrested by police. She is now being detained at the Dezhou City Detention Centre. This has traumatised her husband, and her formerly happy family is in deep sorrow. Her daughters went to the police department to look for their mother and were verbally abused. One policeman also threatened that if the children's relatives were Falun Gong practitioners they would arrest them as well.
  • 62-Year-Old Shepherd Seized by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Thugs

    On July 22nd, 2007, 20 officials, and police arrived in four police cars, planning to arrest 62-year-old practitioner Ms. Li Yinhua. At that time, Ms. Li was grazing sheep at the river wall close to her home. When the officers saw her, they immediately forced her into the car. Ms. Li's husband, 68-year-old Mr. Yang Heng, witnessed these gangsters rush to his home without notice. When he stepped forward to try and stop them, several young officers forced him to the ground. After this violent attack, Mr. Yang required medical attention for several days. During the entire process, the thugs did not show any identification, provide any explanation, or give any receipts for property taken. Her family has gone there to ask for her release, but the guards' attitude was extremely unreasonable, and the family was not allowed to see Ms. Li.
  • Practitioners Arrested by the 610 Office in Beijing's Haidian District

    Since March 2007, many practitioners in various parts of China have been arrested by the 610 Office. Beijing is no exception. In the Haidian District, the 610 Office captured several practitioners. In Haidian Detention Centre, every cell holds five to six practitioners and has a capacity for 30 or more. All of the captured practitioners are over the age of 60 and most of them are first time detainees.
  • Guang'an District Court in Sichuan Province Sentences Falun Gong Practitioners

    Police from Guang'an City used various methods to monitor Falun Gong practitioners. On November 2nd, 2006, Yu Yi, the Political and Legal Committee secretary of Guang'an City, led more than twenty police officers to surround Mr. Xiang Lin's apartment. The police confiscated four laptops, a few printers and CD burners, and over one hundred thousand yuan worth of personal items including over ten thousand yuan in cash and bank deposit slips. The perpetrators then divided the computers and cash among themselves. They tried to force the practitioners to tell them the passwords to their bank accounts, but failed.
  • Wangcun Women's Forced Labour Camp Officials in Shandong Province Harms Practitioners in Order to Fulfil "Reform" Quotas

    In order to reach their reform quotas, the camp's guards have adopted all kinds of abuses against the practitioners. The methods most commonly used include: 1) Sleep deprivation; 2) The use of several collaborators to indoctrinate the steadfast practitioners with fallacies and propaganda; 3) Long-term forced standing, making practitioners' legs and feet swell; 4) Prohibition of toilet use, compelling practitioners to relieve themselves into their clothing; 5) "Strict Control" team punishment, confining practitioners in small cells; 6) Handcuffing and beating practitioners and forbidding them to do the Falun Gong exercises; 7) Hanging practitioners up with only their toes touching the ground; and 8) Trying to force practitioners to sign or leave their fingerprint on the three statements.
  • Practitioner Ms. Yu Lili Detained in Weifang City, Shandong Province

    On July 24th, 2007, police and agents from the Weicheng Public Security Bureau arrested practitioner Ms. Yu Lili. She is now held in the Weifang City Detention Centre.Yu Lili, now in her fifties, started practising Falun Gong in 1997. She often tells people how she has benefited from practising Falun Gong. Just for this, she has been arrested and persecuted many times. During July and August of 2003, she was detained in a brainwashing centre in Weifang City where she was physically and mentally tortured.
  • Daughter-in-law Arrested, Paralysed Elderly Person Helpless

    On June 12th, 2007, Guo Hongtang, Deputy Chief of the 610 Office of Shouguang City, Shandong Province, together with four officers dressed in plain clothes, drove a black car without a licence plate to Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Jiang Chunxiang's home in Shouguang City. Ms. Jiang's family members went to talk to the Party secretary of the village. The Party secretary phoned the police station to enquire about this matter, but the police denied arresting Ms. Jiang. The same afternoon, after asking for favours from acquaintances and giving away monetary items to insiders, Ms. Jiang's family members learned that she was being detained in a small cell in the police station. Ms. Jiang's husband, brother and sister-in-law were still not allowed to see her.
  • Five Practitioners Seized and Tried in Ningxia Province

    Ningxia Provincial 610 Office ordered police to arrest five practitioners after following them and tapping their telephones. The practitioners were detained at the Yinchuan City Detention Centre and tortured. After secret trials were held for the practitioners, the authorities set up another one at the No. 6 Court in the Yinchuang City Court on July 11th, 2007. The sentences will be publicised in ten days.
  • Police Arrest More than Thirty Practitioners in Dalian City Before the World Economic Forum

    On August 14th, 2007, the police simultaneously arrested around 36 Falun Dafa practitioners. Among them, nearly twenty were arrested in one practitioner's house. The Xincheng Accounting Firm in Dalian City was ransacked and ordered to cease operations. Many practitioners working there were arrested. Their homes have been broken into and ransacked one by one.
  • Ms. Zhu Guilin Persecuted in Baimalong Forced Labour Camp, Hunan Province

    On October 8th, 2004, Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Zhu Guilin, 43, was arrested for practising Falun Gong by police. Ms. Zhu was sentenced to two and a half years in Baimalong Forced Labour Camp. Every day, inmates tried to force Ms. Zhang to "transform." In January 2005, she was forced to stand continually for five or six days. She was not allowed to sleep, close her eyes, or move. Her legs were swollen so badly that her trousers no longer fit. Ms. Zhu began a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The warden stomped on Ms. Zhu with high heels. An Inmate kicked Ms. Zhu in the head. Every day she was force-fed. She was tortured to the brink of death.
  • Police Arrest Fourteen Practitioners during the Last Three Months in Yi County, Hebei Province

    The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime has been more rampant during the last three months in Yi County. Police have harassed and threatened practitioners in their homes. Tanghu Town was especially targeted. They went to the homes of every practitioner to harass, threaten and arrest them. In the last three months fourteen practitioners' homes have been ransacked. This caused a great deal of mental anguish for the families of the practitioners.
  • Recent Brutal Treatment of Practitioners in Masanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp

    Masanjia Forced Labour Camp carried out the cruellest forms of persecution on Falun Gong practitioners from March 31st, 2005 to November 15th, 2006. Guards kicked Xie Dewen and Sun Shuxiang's faces and eyes. Xie Dewen's face was beaten until it was black and blue, and Sun Shuxiang was nearly blind in her right eye. They hung up Xin Shuhua and shocked her with electric batons. The practitioners were forced to eat mildewed corn buns and pickles covered with mouse excrement. The perpetrators did not allow them to drink water. The practitioners went on a hunger strike to protest these atrocities. As a result, they took the practitioners out one by one from the cell, pinned down them on the ground, and stepped on their arms to force-feed them.
