  • EFGIC: Falun Gong Woman Dies from Force Feeding Torture

    'More often used as a torture technique than a method for supplying the victim with nutrients, more than 10% of all deaths of Falun Gong practitioners in Chinese custody have resulted from force feeding. On one occasion while force-feeding Ms. Cui, an eyewitness reports that Detention Centre Chief Cheng Haitao observed blood on the force-feeding tube, but told Ms. Cui, “Don’t even think about getting out, even if you bleed.”'

  • EFGIC: Falun Gong Woman Exhibits Torture Injuries, Dies in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp

    On April 12th, 2003 Ms. Zhang’s family received a notice issued jointly by the Masanjia Labour Camp, the local police station and Liujiawopu Village Committee stating that Ms. Zhang “is receiving emergency treatment because she’s critically ill.” By the time Ms. Zhang’s family arrived at Masanjia, she was already dead.
  • EFGIC: Woman Injected with Unknown Drugs Suffers Paralysis and Death

    According to sources familiar with her case, while detained in Zhongba Labour Camp Ms. Han endured torture and abuse at the hands of prison guards. In particular, Ms. Han was severely beaten by a female guard named Gu Xingying, 29 years old, who then enlisted 8 male guards to tie up Ms. Han and inject her with four doses of unknown drugs. From that point on, Ms. Han’s muscles began to atrophy, her lower limbs became virtually paralysed, she had difficulty breathing and her mental state was unclear.

    'On October 7th, 2002, Ms. Tang was arrested again while distributing flyers with information about the persecution of Falun Gong in Zhongjiang County and returned to Mengyang Town government where sources say she was brutally tortured. Covered in cuts and bruises, she was transferred to Pengzhou City Brainwashing Centre. On March 3rd, 2003, Ms. Tang was sentenced to two years of forced labour and sent to Nanmusi Female Labour Camp in Zizhong County, where she was tortured until on the verge of death. '

  • EFGIC: Rat Poison at China’s Xinhua “News” Agency

    LONDON (EFGIC) – On July 2, Xinhua News Agency reported in Wenzhou City in Zhenjiang province “16 Beggars Poisoned: the Suspect is a Falun Gong Member.” However, the Xinhua account is contradicted by the first report on this story in a local newspaper. A follow-up investigation uncovered more discrepancies and demonstrated there was no connection between the alleged murder cases and Falun Gong.
  • FDI: Woman Kidnapped and Beaten to Death as Chinese Police Attempt to Force Her to Renounce Falun Gong

    Sources say Ms. Li was kidnapped by police officers from the No. 1 Division of Fushun City Police Department because she practices Falun Gong. She was immediately taken to the local police station where she was beaten to death on the same day by four police officers in an attempt to extract a “confession” – a Chinese police term for renouncing Falun Gong.

    'To date, 92 confirmed death cases have been reported from Jilin Provinced, the second highest reported of any other province, following Heilongjiang Province. The current total of confirmed deaths now stands at 750, although according to Chinese government sources, the true death toll is in the thousands.'
  • FDI: Falun Gong Practitioners Win Court Appeal

    Last Friday, a Quebec Court of Appeal overturned a decision of the lower court and reinstated the Falun Gong practitioner's prosecution for Contempt of Court Charges. The Montreal Chinese Newspaper "Les Presses Chinoises" and the author Bing He now face two lawsuits for ignoring a safeguard order of the Quebec Superior Court and for their hate propaganda against Falun Gong.

  • EFGIC: High-Level Chinese Officials Found Guilty of Crimes against Humanity

    In the last 18 months, three high-level Chinese officials have been found guilty of crimes against humanity in U.S. District Courts for their roles in the persecution of Falun Gong. A fourth lawsuit against former Chinese Communist leader, Jiang Zemin, is being reviewed by a U.S. District Court judge in Chicago.
