Germany: Introducing Falun Dafa to the People of Cham During the Kirta Festival

Shops in Germany are closed on Sunday, but during the Kirta Festival in Cham they are open as usual and many people flock the streets. Very early in the morning, local Falun Gong practitioners carried exhibition boards and boxes of leaflets to the Centre Square in Cham. The person who prepares for the Fair knows practitioners well because it is the third year that Falun Gong practitioners have participated in the Fair. Every year, the person who organises activities keeps a booth for Falun Gong practitioners free of charge and tries to leave a good position for practitioners so that people can get to know the facts of the persecution happening now in China.

As soon as a full length colour picture of Falun Gong practitioners in China doing the exercises together was laid down, the gentleman in charge of the Fair stopped walking. Even though he already knew a lot of information about Falun Gong, he was still attracted by the grand photo. When looking at it for a while, he asked a practitioner, “Where are they doing the exercises?” The practitioner answered, “They are doing the exercises in a city in the southern part of China.” “This photo was taken before the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP,” he added. The gentleman nodded and seemed lost in thought. In order to express their gratitude to the gentleman for his support of Falun Gong as always, the practitioner gave him a paper lotus flower as a souvenir. On seeing that Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted in China in such a cruel way, the hostess of another booth felt very sad. In a moment, she came with her poetry anthology. Then she came with her business card. She also asked for a business card from the practitioner and said, “If I have an opportunity to distribute information about Falun Gong, I will contact you.”

It was getting brighter. The whole square was bathed in sunshine which drove away the chilliness. Although Little Yuqing is less than three years old, she got up very early and came to Cham together with her mother. In the warm sunshine, sitting on a stool, Yuqing fell asleep on an exhibition board. On seeing this, the mother who was busy distributing leaflets also felt distressed. She hurried and took her daughter into a baby carriage so that she could sleep well. Yes, in order to let the world people know the truth about Falun Gong, many practitioners overseas, including those who have to take their children with them and some pregnant women, give up their holidays rushing about and calling for kind people to give their support and end the persecution.

Little Yuqing woke up after sleeping for a while. A young man selling ice cream in the nearby stall gave Yuqing an ice-cream. At the same time, he signed the petition against the CCP's trade in organs harvested from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Gong practitioners’ untiring efforts have enabled more and more people to learn more about Falun Gong in-depth and even want to learn the practice. After two weeks of practising Falun Gong, Andi, in high spirits, participated in the Falun Gong Exhibition of Photographs in the open air and actively collected signatures for the petition.

Dr. Kiehal learnt to practice Falun Gong a week ago. While talking with practitioners, he felt the seriousness of the persecution. Falun Gong practitioners invited Dr. Kiehal to come to see the exhibition stage during Kirta. For a whole day, he came and collected signatures for a petition to stop the CCP from removing organs from live Falun Gong practitioners. After that, he also studied and read The REPORT INTO ALLEGATIONS OF ORGAN HARVESTING OF FALUN GONG PRACTITIONERS IN CHINA by David Matas and David Kilgour. Later, he wrote an article to a newspaper office hoping more people would pay attention to the inside story of the CCP trading organs and take actions to stop such a crime.

When seeing practitioners distributing materials, many people who came for Kirta couldn’t help but ask, “Are you distributing something good?” Some other people remembered watching a recent TV discussion in which practitioner Ms. Teng told how the CCP has been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners for seven years. They wanted to know more about the persecution of Falun Gong, in particular the CCP's trade in harvested organs.
