Practitioners from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia organised two events to inform the public on May 12th and 13th, 2007, in the centre of Sarajevo. The people of Sarajevo were given the opportunity to learn the Falun Gong exercises, to talk to practitioners and to read Falun Gong flyers and posters.
Moreover, the people of Sarajevo learned about the genocide committed over the last eight years against Falun Gong practitioners in China as well as about the systematic organ removals from living Falun Gong practitioners in labour camps and prisons (note: the practitioners die as a consequence of the barbarous organ removals).
Many of the passersby were shocked to hear the news and signed a petition calling on the government of Bosnia-Herzegovina to pass a resolution similar to one passed by the European Parliament in September 2006, condemning the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and to also ask the Chinese regime to immediately release all imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners. This petition and all of the collected signatures were sent to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Bosnia-Herzegovina, on Monday, May 14th, 2007, along with detailed information about the genocide on Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Many people showed great interest in Falun Gong and wanted to know where they could learn the exercises and read the books. They were happy to learn that practitioners were holding free classes on both days and that all information about Falun Gong (including the books) are available for free on the Internet.
More than 4,500 flyers about Falun Gong and the persecution in China, as well as the organ harvesting, were distributed during the event. Most people accepted the material with great interest.
The media show great interest in Falun Gong
Three days prior to the first event, Bosnian television broadcast a forty minute interview with a Bosnian practitioner, currently residing in Austria. Hundreds of thousands of people in Bosnia, Herzegovina and Croatia were able to hear about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution through the Chinese Communist Party. Even the moderator was shocked beyond words when he heard the details of the organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China.
On Sunday, May 13th, “Dnevni Avaz”, the newspaper with the widest circulation in Bosnia-Herzegovina ran a story about the events organised by Falun Gong practitioners in the centre of Sarajevo and even more people benefited from hearing about the Falun Gong persecution in China.
Two-day free Falun Gong class in Sarajevo
On May 12th and13th, 2007 all interested people were able to learn the Falun Gong exercises during a free class. The class was held at the International Children’s and Youth Center in Sarajevo and was organised by practitioners. On the first day, six people came who stayed until late at night because they wanted to learn the exercises really well and tried to get as much information as possible about Falun Gong.
On the second day, in addition to the first six, ten other people came and the practitioners formed two groups: one for beginners and the second for those who were trying to gain a deeper understanding for what they had learned on the previous day.
Everyone was very grateful for the opportunity to learn this unique method for cultivating body and spirit and was touched by the fact that the practitioners were all paying their own way. The practitioners related their personal experiences and what they had learned since cultivating in Falun Gong. However, they all stressed that everyone who is seriously interested in Falun Gong should read the books of Master Li Hongzhi and should advance through their own practice and through the study of the profound Fa principles in order to fully experience the astounding effects of this cultivation way.
Chinese in Sarajevo receive the Nine Commentaries and learn about the mass exodus from the CCP
On the last day before they left, the practitioners distributed the Chinese version of the Nine Commentaries, as well as other printed information about Falun Gong, to ten to twenty Chinese businesses. Almost all the Chinese gratefully accepted the brochures. Several of them asked for extra copies to pass them along to friends and relatives. The truth is spreading far and wide and has become unstoppable.
