On June 21st, 2007, Turkish Falun Gong practitioners were invited to hold an introduction forum at the National Education Bureau of Mersin Municipality. More than twenty teacher representatives from different types of school took part.

During the introduction, practitioners made use of a projector and films introducing the Falun Gong principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance in detail, raising some concrete examples of the big changes brought by Falun Gong to practitioners and reasoning in scientific angles the benefits and the physical and mental aspects brought by Falun Gong to practitioners. All of the teachers who took part in the introduction were convinced by the benefits of Falun Gong, lots of them kept expressing praise while listening.
When the introduction finished, participants didn’t want to leave until very late. Lots of them expressed that the introduction gave them a pleasant feeling, made them relaxed and comfortable.
One of the teachers expressed it like this: "I have even received a copy of a Falun Gong leaflet, but at that time I thought it’s only a new idea of some kind, so I didn’t read it carefully. Today I realise what Falun Gong is. Falun Gong is such a wonderful practice. I will recommend it to my relatives, friends and students and let all the people I can feel its goodness".
After the introduction forum finished, the teachers made an appointment to study the Falun Gong exercises on June 26th.
On the 26th, people arrived early at The National Education Bureau of Mersin Municipality. Some also brought their family members and friends with them. After learning the five sets of exercises, they exchanged their feelings and experiences from the course of learning of exercises, and veteran practitioners answered questions one by one.
