France: Eight Years of Steadfast and Unyielding Opposition to the Persecution of Falun Gong

On July 22nd, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners once again held a rally protesting against the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and its removing of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners in Human Rights Square opposite the famous Eiffel Tower.

Since the evil CCP illegally started the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20th 1999, Falun Gong practitioners in France have been unremittingly raising awareness about the persecution to tourists passing by the place, appealing to kind people to help stop this inhuman persecution.

At this rally of protest, Wu Jiang and Jiang Youlu from France, as well as the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Democratic Party of China gave speeches separately to Chinese tourists coming and going by using a loud speaker. They enumerated crimes the CCP has committed since it was in power from the so called political movements such as Three Anti Campaigns (targeting corruption, waste and bureaucracy), the Five Anti Campaigns (against bribery, tax evasion, theft of the state property, cheating on government contracts and espionage of state economic information), the Anti-Rightist Movement, the Cultural Revolution and the Tiananmen Square Massacre to its cruel persecution of Falun Gong, the group who believes in “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance” and even its removal of organs from live Falun Gong practitioners for sale, another heinous crime it has committed. In their speeches, they repeatedly appealed to Chinese people who have a conscience to recognise the nature of the evil CCP, to quit the CCP and its associated organisations and not to associate with the evil.

With the loudspeaker, Falun Gong practitioners continued talking about Falun Gong to tourists spoken in Chinese, French and English at the rally: “We, Falun Gong practitioners are a group who cultivates “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance” without any political aspirations. The CCP persecution of Falun Gong is illegal and its means of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners are horrifying. They are making rumours and slandering Falun Gong using the whole state machine. They are forcing those who practice Falun Gong to renounce their belief by brain washing them; forcing them to do hard work and sentencing them to prison and they are torturing these practitioners by using all kinds of excruciation methods. Tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners are being illegally detained in forced labour camps, detention houses suffering from inhuman tortures. Until now, it has proved that 3064 Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death. What is even more cruel is that they have also removed organs from live people for sale by regarding Falun Gong practitioners as resources of organs. We are here appealing to kind people: Please help us together stop the inhuman persecution. We have only one purpose: Stop the persecution immediately! We will also carry on our protest against this.

At the rally, while disclosing the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners were also demonstrating to people the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. The peaceful exercises contrasted sharply to the CCP torture.

Passers-by were moved by the diligence and kindness of Falun Gong practitioners and shocked at the re-enactment disclosing brutal torture methods used by the CCP. That such an atrocity still exists in the world today is a real shame for human civilization. They stopped and watched. After accepting leaflets, they started to talk with Falun Gong practitioners in order to learn more information about it. Many people signed the petition.

During the rally, a martial arts team from China was passing by. After carefully listening to what Falun Gong practitioners introduced and explained, they initially asked for some material about Falun Gong before leaving.

Philip, a French doctor of Jewish origin said, “All that I have seen (the persecution) is horrifying, which I have never heard of. I think that it is a very good thing to let people know what is happening in China. We have no right to stop people from believing in religion, which involves the respect for others. Although western countries are able to put pressure on China, they don’t respect human dignity just for the sake of economic interest, which is beyond the principle of my acceptance. As a responsible doctor, I must not tolerate the transaction about buying and selling organs. For me, this is to violate ethics and morality. Even though one’s life is in danger, one should not conduct such a transaction because we know this can make so many innocent lives suffer, we will become accomplices. We can never do such a thing whether it is for our survival or making money. If it is purely to make money, it is more shameful.

Another gentleman named Nicholas from Poland said, “We must not allow the Olympic Games to be held there, otherwise, it will mean that international consensus is in support of the Chinese government (the CCP). I think that the Olympic Games should be resisted.”

A gentleman said, “We must boycott the Olympic Games because they (the CCP) are selling human organs for money and this is not a thing that humans do.”

In the evening, Falun Gong practitioners in France held a candlelight vigil for those fellow practitioners who have been persecuted to death in mainland China. Practitioners sat silently in memory of fellow practitioners, with white candles in their hands, solemn and holy. This symbolises that the power of kindness penetrating everything. Morality will overcome evil; this will be the time when the truth about Falun Gong will come out.
