Sponsored by the Moscow City Government, the 20th Russian Child Expo was held at the All-Russian Exhibition Centre from November 1st until the 5th. With over 120 organisations participating, the Expo attracted a lot of visitors and concluded with great success. Russian Falun Gong practitioners were also invited to participate in the event.

The Expo was a large-scale event consisting of children’s’ games, cultural entertainment, physical education and military sports. During the Expo, many children along with their parents and other family members from Moscow and nearby cities lined up in front of the entrance by 10 am every day. As many people came to the Expo, it was bustling with noise and excitement. Russian Falun Gong practitioners took advantage of this opportunity to promote Falun Gong and its principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, they were made very welcome there. They distributed around 10,000 copies of various material and over 1,000 paper-folded lotus flowers on November 1st and 2nd.

The five peaceful and gentle Falun Gong exercises demonstrated by the practitioners attracted a lot of attention. Some visitors followed practitioners’ movements to learn the exercises on their own; others asked practitioners to teach them how to practice the exercises; still others asked for more information about Falun Gong. After listening to practitioners’ explanation, many visitors said that the persecution happening in China was outrageous and inconceivable. Many people also signed the petition against the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution and in support of Falun Gong.

The Expo was filled with visitors and almost every one got a leaflet explaining the facts about Falun Gong. With the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance in their mind, Falun Gong practitioners were grateful for being invited to participate in this event.
