On October 10-18, 2009, the Zaragoza General Trade Fair was held in Zaragoza, Spain. The trade show highlighted culture, the arts, military, science, travel, and food, and tens of thousands of people visited the eight exhibition halls. Falun Gong practitioners participated in the event for four days.

This was the first time that practitioners participated in this event. They set up a booth to introduce Falun Gong and expose Chinese Communist Party's inhumane persecution of the practice. They also offered free Falun Gong classes. Many people who learned the facts signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution.
