German Falun Gong practitioners held an “Information Day” event in Mainz on August 4, 2012, where they told people about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China.
Mainz is the capital of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany. Falun Gong practitioners set up a booth at the Romerpassage, a famous tourist spot in the downtown area. The peaceful music, the beautiful exercise movements, and the display boards attracted many tourists. Many people talked with practitioners, and accepted the flyers. Many were interested in learning the exercises, and asked for contact information for the local exercise sites. One German gentleman talked with practitioners for a long time, and was very interested in learning Falun Gong. He bought a copy of the book Zhuan Falun.

When people, including some tourists from China, learned about the persecution, especially the organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, they signed the petition to support Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful resistance.
A Japanese gentleman who currently lives in Mainz talked to practitioners for a long time. He said he knew why Falun Gong has been persecuted in China, because Falun Gong was too popular in China, and the number of practitioners exceeded the number of communist party members. He grew up in Japan, and loves Chinese traditional culture. He said that the Chinese Communist Party has ruined the most precious legacies in China, including Falun Gong. He knew fairly well about the details of the persecution. He expressed that the murderers in the persecution, including Bo Xilai and Jiang Zemin, will go to hell for sure.
Practitioners told him that Falun Gong was not merely a form of qigong, but cultivation practice. He was interested and wanted to read the books. Practitioners gave him a Chinese copy of Zhuan Falun. He read Lunyu, and was deeply touched by it. He asked for practitioners' contact information and expressed that he will read Zhuan Falun carefully and learn the exercises.
