I acknowledge receipt of your invitation to a press conference in Paris on the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
I am sorry that I can not attend because of my full diary of commitments and the delayed arrival of your invitation.
Nevertheless, may I remind you that the European Parliament is following this matter closely. Since the resolution on human rights in the world was passed, July 5th, the European Parliament has reiterated its call to all countries to end repression and discrimination of peaceful, philosophical, religious minorities and has urged China in particular to stop the persecution of Falun Gong.[…]
