On October 2nd, 2012, officials from the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) in Yuzhou City, Henan Province, the assistant director of the National Security Team, Geng Songtao, and the police and thugs from Fanggang Village Government ordered Ms. Zhu Gaihong and the director of the local Women’s Union to come to the village government. They used the excuse that Ms. Zhu needed to fill out paperwork for the one child documentation. As soon as she arrived there, police officers forced her into a bus that took her to Xuchang City Detention Centre.
In December 2010, Ms. Zhu Gaihong was staying in her hometown working on projects to expose the persecution of Falun Gong. Geng Songtao, assistant director of the National Security Team, led police from the National Security Team and the Fanggang Village Police Station to Ms. Zhu's home and ransacked it at around 11:00 p.m. on December 12th, 2010. They confiscated her computer, a printer, an MP3 and an MP4 player, and personal items. Then, they took Ms. Zhu to the Yuzhou Detention Centre. At that time, she looked pregnant because of her medical condition. As a result, the guards didn't accept her and told her family to take her to the hospital.
After New Year’s Day, the police learned that she had recovered from her illness. They told her to report to the National Security Team. Kindhearted people told her, “You better leave here or the police won’t leave you alone.” She then left home to avoid further persecution. The police were unable to find her until October 2nd, 2012. They deceived her into going to the village government where they arrested her.
