Holland: Dafa Shines at The Hague on World Falun Dafa Day

In May, The Hague is brimming with beautiful flowers and lush trees. The original weather forecast for May 13th was rain, but it turned out to be a fine day with a clear blue sky. Dafa practitioners from various cities around Holland gathered at Parliament Square in The Hague to hold World Falun Dafa Day celebrations.

Practitioners first displayed banners and distributed flyers revealing the horrific persecution of Dafa practitioners taking place in China at the moment, and portraying how the Jiang regime is directly responsible for at least 690 deaths of innocent Chinese people. Some practitioners demonstrated the five sets of exercises, while others handed out flyers to passers-by and told them about Falun Gong. Many people were interested in the beautiful exercise demonstration and stopped to watch. Several journalists came to interview practitioners and tried to further understand Falun Dafa. They also expressed their concerned about the situation in China and videotaped our activities.

The Hague is the political centre of Holland, where the renowned International Court of Justice is located. The Parliament building is situated next to the square. The Parliament was in session that day, and a fire alarm forced all of the Parliament members and staff out of the building, where they all saw our activities. Many parliament members took Dafa flyers and Video-CDs from us. One of the parliament members was angry when he listened to the truth about the fabricated self-immolation in China. He also showed the Dafa magazine “Witness” to his colleagues and told them about the shameful deeds of the Chinese government. Some parliament members exclaimed “the Chinese government has even done something as stupid as this!”

At 6 p.m. we sent forth righteous thoughts together with all the Dafa practitioners around the world.

On this important occasion, the 11th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction to the world, Dutch practitioners sincerely expressed their greetings to Master Li, and extended their best wishes to our most respected Master on his 52nd birthday.
