Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhu Zongxia, 51, lived in Hefei City, Anhui Province. On May 20, 2003, Zhu Zongxia was murdered by police at the Sanli Street Police Station.

Zhu Zongxia was a former employee of the Petroleum Exploration and Production Co. Affiliated Hospital in Anhui Province. She was fired by the government-run corporation and paid compensation based on her seniority. However, she was deprived of her benefits.

On April 2, 2003, police arrested her when she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and distributing truth clarification literature, and detained her for 15 days. After she returned home, police officers and her husband, who had been deceived by lies, constantly beat and threatened her. They tried to make her reveal the source of the flyers. During the morning of May 20, several police again abducted her and sent her to the Sanli Street Police Station. Later, they tried to send her to a forced labour camp and threatened her, hoping to make her divulge the names of other practitioners. Because Zhu Zongxia didn't cooperate, they became furious and brutally beat her. At 12:00 p.m., Zhu Zongxia was callously pushed from the top of a five-story building and died from the fall.

Investigation shows the person directly responsible for the persecution to be Su Hong, deputy chief of the Sanli Street Police Station. Su Hong is also responsible for the persecution of many other Dafa practitioners.
